Another Bargain
I gave my other Betty Boop away because it had half of what was on here, and this DVD is better quality. Don;t know about the other volumes, but this has the classic early stuff.

More Legend Films GARBAGE!!
Stay away from this release. It's nothing more more than the Republic Films Laser disc release from the the 1990's. A total Bootleg copy. Evan worse the end titles are edited out. And a heavy handed DVNR is used and the cartoons look awful. STAY AWAY! Until an official release is issued. Big Disappointment!

It's Betty Boop.
The title "Uncensored" is a bit misleading since there's really nothing to censor, eve by 1930's standards. Quite a few of the cartoons are duplicated on other Betty Boop videos. I do like it and just about anything Betty Boop though.

OK, I guess
I hadn't seen Ms. Boop in years, so I hoped this would bring back some of the enjoyment I experienced years ago watching her cartoons as a kid. (If you must know, that era was a lot closer to her 1930s origins than to the present day.) All I can say there is that she hasn't aged well, at least not in my eyes.Irrespective of content, I would have hoped for a better transfer. The cartoons themselves show some great detail in the background art, not all of which is easily legible in this collection. And, somewhat maddeningly, it preserves flaws in the original film that could have been post-processed out - in particular, the tendency for overall light levels to rise and fall, due to irregularities in the original film and procesing. Cripes, even amateurs have tools that could level such things out. I would have expected better when I pay money for a video.In any case, Betty still is who she ever was, even thoguh the world has changed quite drastically around her.-- wiredweird
