Compact Power That Delivers – Reliable Everyday Screwdriver
I’ve used several cordless screwdrivers over the years, and the Milwaukee 2401-20 easily stands out for its power, balance, and build quality. Despite its compact size, it delivers impressive torque and steady performance on light to medium duty jobs perfect for furniture assembly, cabinet work, and quick repairs. What I like most is how comfortable and precise it feels in hand. The variable speed trigger offers excellent control, and the ergonomic grip reduces fatigue during longer projects. The compact design also fits easily into tight spaces where a full-size drill can’t reach. The battery life is strong, holding a solid charge even with frequent use, and the LED light is a helpful touch for dim or confined areas. It feels like a professional-grade tool in a small, efficient body durable, reliable, and easy to handle.

Surprising and pleased
As an 18V cordless tool user, my 25 year old cordless tools (rhymes with default) were getting a little long in the teeth and batteries were getting expensive and hard to find. So I decided to replace them. I find Milwaukee’s M12 cordless tool platform surprisingly powerful, torquey, and budget friendly. This 12V driver is no exception. Compact, light weight, versatile and powerful. Cordless tools have come a very long way from what they were. The driver is ergonomic and comfortable in my hand. The belt clip keeps the tool at my side when I need both hands. The bright LED illuminates the work area. The clutch adjustment collar is large with easy to see settings. The tool feels solid and well made. The 1/4” quick release chuck is easy to use and battery life is good even using aftermarket batteries. The built-in battery power gauge is a nice touch and I can see battery charge status at a glance. Milwaukee has made me rethink my cordless tool options. I find myself reaching for the 12V tools for various light jobs and projects due to their smaller, compact size, lighter weight, and power consumption. The Li-Ion batteries deliver good power and motor torque with good battery life and quick charging. I think Milwaukee brand tools are a good value.

Drill bit holder
It’s a great screwgun light and with good power. My first one that I had for over 15 years fall and the bit holder got damaged in the way I wasn’t able to put a drill bit or to remove it.

Weak.
It says "screwdriver" on the side of it, and that's about all it is. Maybe I'm spoiled because I've been using a 1/2" drill, but this thing struggles with drywall screws in pine wall studs... That said, I'm currently repairing vehicles, and I purchased this specifically to use as a "bolt runner" at work. For that, it works great. It doesn't make enough torque to break anything, and it's much smaller than my 1/2" impact so it fits in tighter spaces. I do wish it had a higher RPM on the "drill" setting though.

You may never want to use a handheld driver again...
Great Just like all my M12 tools this one is no exception. Has a nice multiposition clutch with lots of granular levels. A smooth variable trigger and comes with a good #2 Phillips driver. I use the smallest 1.5 and 2AH batteries with mine to keep it lite and it still lasts a long time running when you are mostly running machine screws in and out which is what it excels at. I also own the M12 1/4” impact which has The same form factor but adds the impact capability to the tool. The downside to that tool is that when you are running in A screw made from soft steel or aluminum with fine thread you can easily strip or break that Fasner or at the very least get it so tight that it’s very difficult to loosen it with a handheld driver A screw made from soft steel or aluminum with fine threads you can easily strip or break that fastener or at the very least get it so tight that it’s very difficult to loosen it with a handheld driver. Conversely, with the screwdriver version sold here… When you run in a similar fastner it tightens it down basically like a handheld screwdriver. Just snug but not tight like a gorilla put it on. And there is very little chance if you set the clutch properly that you will strip anything out. The only downside to this tool is fitting it in small spaces, but if you pair it with a quarter inch extension it’s solves that problem for the most part. Milwaukee does make a 4.5 V screwdriver which is also excellent and has the advantage of fitting into very small spaces a lot better and working with low torque fasteners a lot better it just has the disadvantage of not working with the M 12 batteries, and it’s not any cheaper than this tool. So I find for me that this tool fills a good niche. It has power when you need it and when you don’t need the extra power you can clutch it down. If I want to drive a lag screw or something heavy like that I’ll swap over to my impact. That’s not what this tool is for.
