Veridian Healthcare Two-Party Home Blood Pressure Kit with Detached Nurse Stethoscope, Latex Free, Adult, (01-5521)

This is my first blood pressure kit. With no previous exprience or training, I was unsure of my ability to use it but chose to give it a try after reading many reviews on electoronic kits consistently providing inaccurate reads. Albeit I have nothing to compare this unit to, I am extremely satisifed with it after using the product for 2 months. The kit contains everything you would need and is fairly well made. Stethoscope line does not appear durable but seems adequate for my use: 2-3 times of day. It took me a few initial tries to spot my artery but I got used to it quickly. One piece construction(excl. Stethoscope) made it easy to use by myself. It serves my purpose very well and at a reasonable cost.

Works great, if you need to monitor your blood pressure and don't want to pay the higher prices for the electronic monitors which according to my doctor are not as accurate as a manual, then this is for you. I have been using it for awhile now and it's great.

I've been using this blood pressure kit for the last two months. I am a CNA and I use it many times throughout my shift. I thought I was taking a risk by not spending more on a stethoscope, but this works great. I don't have a problem hearing through it and I like the cuff.

Good product, accurate readings, fast delivery, but I have two gripes that made me give it four stars. The first is that the scope will not fit back into the carry bag with the BP cuff because it was sent unassembled & takes up too much room once assembled because it is now too long. (Please advise me if anyone can fit the cuff and assembled scope back into the bag without really forcing it in.) My second gripe is that a self tapping screw has to be inserted into the chest piece. I tried to do it by hand, but eventually used my channel locks to finally get it screwed into the chest piece. I would have rated this a five if not for these two problems. The carry bag should have been made slightly larger to accept ALL the assembled pieces. In my opinion, the bag in now really useless.

I purchased these blood pressure cuffs to teach anatomy students how to measure blood pressure. The stethoscopes aren't the best, but they are adequate and you can clearly hear the heartbeat with them, although I haven't used them to in blood pressure applications yet. The cuff is sturdy, and the gauge works great. I am very pleased that I saved $120 on a set of 10 for my classroom over what my science supply house was charging.

This kit contains everything I need to take readings myself (not recommended, but the readings I get are within a few mmHg of what I got at the doctors office and at the drug store machine (where you sit and put your arm in). My concern, on reading reviews, was that the stethoscope would be too poor to hear what I need. When I first tried the stethoscope it was indeed poor sounded, HOWEVER I then realized I need to twist the ear piece ever so slightly to point into my ear. Once I did that the sound was much better. Additionally, the sounds you're listening for are quite noticeable and distinct. All-in-all, as a novice, this kit seems to be doing it's job and is providing readings consistent with other methods.

I just received a new monitor this week, the gauge is not even pointing to zero. There is no way to caliber it by yourself. I called the company and received very poor customer service. Finally, they agreed to take it back to check, but I was asked to pay for the mailing fee. The Nurse Stethoscope is also a piece of crap, not necessarily to hear anything. I would not recommend it to anyone.

The BP cuff works efficiently but the stethoscope is useless! I thought it was me but I tried another one at work and I don't have any problem. It's really flimsy. I can't pick up a heart beat. I can't take bps on really tiny arms or really large arms with the cuff. I should have considered this before ordering. EDIT: It is a couple of months later now and I have had to sew the cuff already. The internal bag that pumps up was coming out of the cuff b/cuz the stitches had come out. I also stitched it along the metal piece b/cuz it keeps slipping and the cuff gets twisted. Not pleased!
