Overall Good Product
Pros: It has a good consistency like a bead of silicone, goes on easily and dries quickly to a flat black. Once you are finished, the usual airport/blacktop sealer will give you a skim coat with a consistent smooth finsih that has lasted me for more than a year so far. If you purchase this, look for the 4-pack for a better price rather than purchasing the single tube. The other pictures on this site are accurate in giving you realistic expectations. Cons: It is not self leveling, so you need the spatula, which means that you use more than you think you need. The tube does not contain a lot of product, so you will need multiple tubes for just about any project. Overall: Five stars because I would recommend for small projects at home, but wished they would also make this in a tub so I see exactly how much I'm getting, and have more control over the application with a spatula rather than squiriting out a long line of product and smoothing it over.

Great for the smaller cracks
I thought this would be just a little thicker so i recommend you use some sort of filler for the larger cracks and top it off with this product. I lost a lot of product because it has a great flow and will just continue to run into a large crack till it is full. Even if you throw some fine gravel in first that will make this product go a good bit further. As far as the product itself it is holding up great no splitting or cracking after several months. It has a nice satin finish but i also recommend you topcoat this for a more uniform look across the entire driveway. I would buy this again and do recommend it.

One of the Better Crack Fillers โ๏ธ
After trying several asphalt crack sealers from big box stores, I've found that the Red Devil 063712 Acrylic Asphalt Sealant works much better, despite its higher cost and the need to purchase it online. My 630-foot by 11-foot asphalt driveway, which dates back to 1996, has cracks of various sizes. As of October 2024, I've used 96 tubes of the sealant, which is a far more cost-effective solution than the $35,000 quote I received to mill and resurface the ailing asphalt driveway. The sealant dries to a black color that matches the existing sealed asphalt, but the sheen is slightly different, so the repaired areas will still be visible to some extent. It caulking does lighten over time. I will be applying an asphalt emulsion sealer the following year which will help balance the sheen and reduce the visual contrast. During application, I pat the caulk bead down to force the sealant into the cracks, ensuring a proper seal. Also, it is important to glide the scraper over the patted caulking bead, leaving a layer of about 1/16 or so, like icing a cake. Without leaving a thin layer, many cracks will show themselves in a week. I've found that a 3-inch wide plastic putty scraper works best for application. Uxcell sells a 4-pack of 3-inch putty scrapers on Amazon for $10. I've learned that it's best to estimate needing twice as many tubes as initially thought. In my case, three times. The sealant adheres well, shrink some and dries evenly. ๐

Takes too long to set, fills only very small cracks, NOT really general purpose as I had hoped.
I should have gone with my gut and bought the expensive polyurethane self-leveling brand (won't name it, but you can probably guess it). And I should have researched further... this isn't really a filler, it is a sealer - which might be fine if I had every size of backing cord I could need (don't) - I want to FILL a crack, not resurface a blemish. Also - for that small amount of material, they say to avoid driving on it for 72 hours - 3 days for a crack seal?!? - again, alternative brand would have been done in a day or less. All-in-all, this has limited application. Will be returning.

Far Better Than Liquid Products
This is the only reliable product to fill cracks and crevices in asphalt. I've used this before with excellent long lasting results. But earlier this year I purchased a gallon of liquid crack filler which turned out to be a total waste of money. The results of that liquid filler is shown in the first picture and the Red Devil chaulk repair in the second. When I seal the entire driveway the color will be uniform with no evidence of a crack.

Works ok
A reviewer wrote that this flows into cracks, what I received did not flow at all. It was very squishy but did not flow down into cracks, had to scrape it flat. Looks good so far otherwise.

How good? I bought it twice.
Easy to apply. Dries faster than advertised. Goes on with a blue grey colour but dries black. Seals well. No complaints.

Better than 'pour in' crack fillers
This product blends in nicely with the asphalt because of its textured flat finish. The colour is dark grey when wet but it dries flat black. There is still flexibility to the product even when fully cured. This should handle the freeze thaw cycle better than the rigid crack filler. Deeper cracks ~ 1" will take several days to fully cure although the surface dries within 24 hrs. Tips: 1. Use a stiff wire brush followed by a soft bristle brush to thoroughly clean out the area ( even if you pressure wash or blow the surface with a leaf blower). This will facilitate maximum adhesion. 2. Use a drywall knife or putty knife to blend the caulk with surrounding asphalt. 3. Try and remove all vegetation in the crack by the root because they will grow through this product before it fully cured. Update 3 yrs on: does not hold up well to Canadian freeze/thaw cycles. The product became brittle and flaked out of the crevices. Removed 2 stars

Works fine
I applied it to a crack across my driveway. A tube was enough for about 4-5 meters. It took a few days to completely harden while the top layer dried in about one hour, so you have a few minutes to apply and spread with a putty knife (I spread to the sides too to improve the adherence). When dry, it looks like dark asphalt with a sand-mixed texture. If you have old asphalt that is already grey, the colour will not match. Thumbs up, please, if you found it useful.

Sealed my drive
Used to seal the edge of my tarmac drive. Does a great job and keeps the water from getting under the drive. Also keeps the weeds from growing along the small gap edge. Worth every penny
