20297 Maxi-Filtra Septic Tank Drain Vent Two-Way Active Carbon Filter, 3- or 4-Inch Connection

The vent pipe from our sewer system often ruined our back yard experience. Once this filter was installed, no more stinky smells! With the removal of the rubber section on the bottom, this was a perfect fit for our septic vent pipe and was easy to install. Works perfectly!

Simple and effective. We had a recurring smell in the yard that we could not figure out. The septic system was new and the smell was a mystery. After searching online I came across this and decided to try it out. The smell was gone immediately.

It was fine and easy. We are fairly mechanical inclined. So no problems there. Does it’s job. But those not so adept could use directions either on or in the box.

Works as described

This small, discreet yet very well designed product is a nose saver. We have a 39’ park model 5th wheel and put this in our main line clean out it made the biggest difference no more smells. If you own a bumper pull, gooseneck, or 5th wheel trailer and park it for the year hooked up or just glamping either way if there is a sewer clean out get this. The smell will be gone in an hour or 2, the only thing you will smell is what was lofting in the air before the install of this carbon filter. I honestly did not have high hopes for this but my expectations were exceeded with the quality and performance of this product.

Purchased this in December 2015. I've had it installed a little over 2 years now. We had an awful time with sewer gas smell on cold mornings ever since having our sewer main replaced. This has made a huge improvement. I haven't changed the filter in 2 years, and it still seems to be working. The filter cartridge is tiny, and the activated carbon inside has to have long since stopped working. I think the device really only restricts air flow imho. That said, it does a great job.

Effective solution for septic system emissions, some jurisdictions require a carbon filter vent to treat noxious emissions from septic system, highly recommended, solved my emissions issues and it'll solve yours, easy to install, pricey but worth it.

Time will tell. Easy to install, but seems a bit pricey.

I’m impressed. We have lived in the countryside for more than a decade and at times have had to deal with the occasional whiff from the septic tank, especially if the washing machine is running. Eventually, I looked into how to reduce the smell and a carbon filter was recommended. Since it has been fitted, for over a week now, I have not smelt the septic tank once! The unit was very easy to fit and looking at how it went together, I imagine that the carbon filter part is very easy and simple to replace when the time arises. Very satisfied with my purchase.
