What is the minimum water pressure for this sprinkler?

This rectangular sprinkler will water your garden evenly. With its range of 9 to 216 m², it covers a large area. The controller allows you to adjust the watering range (3 to 18 metres) as well as the spread (3 to 12 metres) and the water flow.

Question 2

My coverage is only 3.2m x 3.2m but my lawn is 8m x 15m. The flow at the head is 8L/min. Now what?

Ours covers around 15 x 8. Is yours definitely the Large version? If so then contact seller as Gardena give a 5 year guarantee. I bought ours last year, it’s stopped working now and seller has replaced instantly with no quibbles.

can you control spray width so that the water doesnt reach my patio?

Accepted Answer

Between reducing your water pressure and reducing the arc of the spray you may find that you can tailor this to suit the size of the area you want to cover.

I have an area between the shed and the kids playhouse that is something like 10ft square and I can reduce the water pressure and arc to fit that gap.

Also of push comes to shove, you can always put a 'self tapping' screw in the hole where you want to restrict water coming out? (You may render that particular hole useless for future use because a screw will increase the diameter and you'll loose the spray effect) but certainly an option. These sprinklers are actually quite a good bit of kit. They're quite robust too because, one of the kids stood on it playing in the spray pattern and it carried on fine, I just had to reset the spray arc. :-)

Question 4

Our water pressure is not too good though no idea of the exact bar.  Which of the Gardena sprinklers would be most suitable for lower pressure?

Hello,
our splinklers need at least 2 bar pressure.
To test if you enough flowing water you can fill a 10 litre bucket, you can measure the bucket filling time. This should not be more than 30s.
