I love Davines products. I have placed many comments on Davines products and this is has to be one of my favorite one. I recently dyed my hair burgundy with eggplant balayage. Since red dye tend to fade quickly, I always look for hair products that do not strip my color plus help nourishing/ restoring/ protecting my processed hair. Davines Alchemic Shampoo Red does it all. It actually deposits color to my hair which keeps the color last longer. I shampoo my hair with this product follow with the same conditioner 2/3 times a week. After every wash, my hair smells great and smooth. The color becomes more bright and vibrant. My coworkers often asked me if I have dyed my hair again or what I did to my hair. Love it

Leaves my hair VERY soft and silky feeling, with lots of shine and bounce. My hair is very fine so anything that makes it silky but not weighed down is great in my book. It doesn't tint the hair as much as the leave-in conditioners do but that's sort of expected as I leave the conditioner in for 10-15 minutes. I use this in combination with the Alchemic conditioner in copper since the stylist used multiple reds and gingers in my dye and I feel like they're a good combo.My complaint is that the bottle has too much space left at the top, it's still quite a full bottle but my conditioner was filled to right under the cap line while the shampoo has enough space to fit more product in :| If you have long or very thick hair you might go through it fairly quick. I like the product itself but for the price I am paying I want a full bottle!

This shampoo, along with the conditioner, keeps my hair bright red for up to 12 weeks between colorings. It's been a game changer for my beauty budget, and I enjoy keeping my coppery locks shiny, bright, soft and full of volume.Tip: Use the conditioner first, and apply it to dry hair. Let sit while you wash / shave, then massage into roots and rinse. Follow with the shampoo.The conditioner is a bit heavy, but using this method I maximize the red effect, and keep my hair from getting weighed down by the conditioner.

The packaging is fun and the color is great. I got this and Tressa to help extend my red hair. Can't tell the difference between them; they're both great. My hair stylist thinks I have special hair - she wonders why it takes to the color so well. I keep telling her it's the color depositing shampoo but she doesn't believe me. Meanwhile, I will continue to use this shampoo and save a little money because I don't have to see her as often! : )

I'm a natural red-head who is quickly reaching the big 5-0, I refuse to color my hair, and it is still red-- a very light gold-ish white, here and there-- but still red. I wanted to just see if I could enhance the color-- and this is perfect. A little goes a long way, I recommend using with the conditioner as well.

Gave my natural titan red hair a pink tint that last for well over a month with daily shampooing and conditioning with different shampoo

Opened it and did a test strand and immediately asked for a turn. Turned my hair pink

Didn't dry out my hair like other color depositing shampoos & conditioners have, but barely left any color at all. Not worth the price & doesn't leave a noticeable amount of color (I have been using it with davine's red conditioner as well).

I love this product. I’ve used the Davine’s Oi Oil before and thought it was lovely so wanted to give this a try. I have naturally red extremely thick curly hair so I’m always a bit skeptical when buying hair products. I have to say I love it! Used it for the first time today and whilst I blow dried my hair I could already feel how soft it was. I’m very impressed! It still takes me a decade to straighten my hair but it definitely helps being a lot smoother and softer. The smell is lovely too - very natural and not over powering. For this price you should definitely not hesitate to try it!

OMG...this and the conditioner are an amazing find. With faded strawberry blond hair, this has given significant savings (and lots of saved time!) not having to have low-lights to inject some copper back into my hair. I use this once a week (in a normal shower) for a wonderful copper colour. Comments - even from old school friends who remember my original colour - have been very positive!

I bought this along with the matching conditioner to extend the life of my dyed copper hair.The shampoo smells nice and gets your hair clean but I am not sure it would deposit any colour on its own. It is also a little drying.I would buy it again to go with the lovely conditioner.

Smells lovely and nice shampoo. But the bottle is small and it is therefore expensive. I would think it is the conditioner (rather than the shampoo) that would make the most colour difference. For that reason, I don't think I would repurchase but rather use a cheaper shampoo along with the Davines conditioner.

Dried out hair really badly that it broke. I even mixed with my other shampoo and conditioner which helped a bit but mostly it was just too drying and didn’t help keep the red colour. Do not recommend.
