I wanted to have my hands free and I wanted something that was flat on the front of me. This pack was a great solution - for those three days. Pros: the pockets were great, zippered and easy to access. It was able to hold the items I needed (thin wallet, phone, keys, earbuds, receipts). It was light weight and it felt great to have my hands free. It was easy to take on and off. Cons: it wasn't super tight against my body (think of putting on a sash). The strap at my neck sometimes shifted and was uncomfortable and scratchy. It was not big enough to hold much more than what I listed above; I had a flexible sunhat that, even when rolled up would not fit. Someone mentioned that they could carry a water bottle; I think that would have been tight and bulky (not flat on the front) but possible. It held up well, but it was only 3 days. Not sure about long term wear and tear. In summary, I plan on using this again for day trips/hikes - that sort of thing. It was well worth what I paid for it.
