Can’t beat the price and gets the job done!
Love this! Can’t beat the price, weight, and ease of use. I did a DIY basement renovation and used this to cut laminate flooring. Couple of things... it’s cheap and does the job but, you have to guide the pieces your cutting precisely. The guides aren’t much use with cutting planks. So a lot is left to your hand to make straight. I drew lines on the wood to make sure I followed the right cut. But for the price and how much it saved me laying the floor myself, it was worth the effort and a couple messed up planks in the trash. It’s light so that was a problem sometimes as the whole unit would move as I was trying to cut something. So finding a way to secure it down helps you make more accurate cuts. It also allowed me to do custom cuts if I took the guard off it and just used it as and open blade. Though, that’s dangerous and not recommended in the manual so use caution. For cutting down long planks, it’s annoying when you get to the bracket that holds the blade in place but if your cut is straight the plank splits perfectly fine at that point since it’s not too wide and you can keep cutting all the way down the length of the piece. All in all, was perfect for my small job.

Rockwell makes a good saw
Compact, lightweight, and very handy. Blades can be stored in a tray on the machine. It will use most t style jigsaw blades. I have found that some styles are too long for the saw guard. It cuts wood and acrylic material very well. After opera8 the saw for a couple of months I have been very well satisfied with the quality and value of the saw. Makes clean cuts based on blade selection and patience accurate detail cuts can be made easily. The rip fence will assist with accuracy in straight cuts.

Excellent Product
I bought this on a whim, I'm installing a Vinyl Plank flooring in my basement and had originally tried cutting my cuts with a circular saw, Big mistake as it throws plastic sawdust everywhere, next came using a Jig Saw which worked, but worked super slow and required three hands to hold the plank, hold the saw and hold the table while making minute cuts without screwing up the whole piece. Enter the Blade Runner, I was in a Big Box store buying scroll saw blades,( Yes, another vain attempt at cutting my planks, Blades last about 30 seconds before snapping and the saw itself bounces across the floor) When I noticed the Blade Runner on the shelf next to me, I remembered seeing them advertised a few years ago and meant to buy one then, but forgot about it. However, It seemed perfect for what I needed, Basically just a Upside Down Jigsaw on a Table. Amazon was $40 cheaper, So I ordered and literally had it the next day, and I live out in the sticks. This Saw is fantastic, it's like it was designed for the sole purpose of putting in a vinyl floor. However, I took away (1) Star for Rockwell quality control, The Guard is held on by (2) Bolts that uses a tool-less screw knob with a nut inside, (1) nut was missing and required me going to the store and buying some (M6x1.00 Metric in case your're wondering) a minor inconvenience since most my cuts are made without the blade guard in place. Feature-wise most have covered it, But it comes with the tabletop saw, (5) blades for various projects from cutting Metal, Ceramic, Wood and yes, Vinyl Planks, It comes with a Rip fence, and a Miter gauge. I see many, many uses for this saw down the road. Blade changes are made in 2 seconds and everything is designed to NOT have to use tools to make it work. I kick myself for not buying one sooner. In closing, I'll just say I never installed a Plank Floor before, So there is a certain learning curve and I know for a fact, had I had this saw from the start, it would've made the entire job flow a lot smoother. I read most of the (1) Star reviews and even one where the guy said it was the worst thing ever for Vinyl Flooring, I'm not sure what He was expecting, Maybe push a button and the stuff cut itself? But this thing works fantastic for Vinyl flooring and even though it's just an upside down jigsaw with a table, It actually cuts faster than using a handheld jigsaw, But it's important to remember, It's a Jigsaw, So it's NOT going to be setting any speed cutting records, Reading between the lines in the (1) star comments, I gathered most people were disappointed at the speed and not at the saw itself. However, part of the beauty of a Jigsaw is it goes slow enough to allow for very precise cuts without destroying your work piece because of one cut that went too far or maybe the difference of looking like a 5 year old installed your floor or a Professional did it . You Decide.

Hoped for more, but not too bad.
Straight to the point....immediately buy premium blades for the saw as the ones provided are terrible. I recommend Bosch blades. Next, don't expect to do any heavy cross cutting. This is basically a jig-saw that is upside down, and because of that the blade tends to bend so you don't get a perfectly vertical cut. Also, There were a few times I thought this thing was going to destroy itself with the intense shaking and rattle it can produce. I highly recommend only trying to cut soft wood. Now, if you're trying to do small crafts with soft wood, this thing is great! It cuts great, but you have to have constant and consistent pressure on what you're cutting, otherwise it jumps everywhere. I really did expect more, but at the price point, and if you're not doing any heavy cutting, it's a prefect little DIY saw. The miter gauge works well and the rip guard works well enough. I cautiously recommend this.

Es una herramienta cómoda y práctica, la puedes usar en cualquier lugar pero tiene sus limitaciones , los cortes se restringen a materiales suaves y de espesor menor a 2 plg para que haga cortes regulares.

This is a wonderful machine. I bolted it to a plywood baseboard to make it easy to clamp to workbench so it does not move around, and the hold-down arm keeps the work under control. It can be used instead of a bandsaw or scroll saw, and you can cut internal shapes without having to re-mount the blade through the starting hole. Best of all, the convenient vacuum attachment makes for a clean workplace. Remember to wear safety spectacles and ear protection! It does not have a variable speed feature which might improve performance in certain circumstances.

I replaced a table saw with the Rockwell Blade Runner X2 and I have to say, I love it. It's so easy to use and I feel completely safe using it. It cuts through everything and, contrary to other reviews, I have no problem cutting a straight line! I do think Rockwell cheapened out with the X2. It's certainly not as rugged as the original Blade Runner, which had, for example, a metal deck. The X2 deck is plastic, except around the cutting blade, but even still, it's still a sturdy little workhorse and it does what it's supposed to. I also love the fact that in my home workshop, the footprint is so much smaller compared to the table saw I had. It really is just a jigsaw turned upside down, but it's a great concept. Glad I purchased this. Zero regrets.

I needed a jig saw, but never liked having the piece suspended out over the table for blade clearance. This solves that problem. It is a capable jigsaw. Sometimes there is a good chunk of vibration. If you want to use it as a table saw, don’t. Just buy a table saw. It’s okay for short cuts on the fence but it’s too slow and not accurate enough for multiple cuts.
