Works better than Lysol for eliminating the notorious AC mold issue of modern Mercedes Benz models. Did not completely eliminate it in one shot, but noticeably reduced it by about 50%. My can was broken, but DWD2 quickly shipped out a replacement and gave me a coupon for future orders. Maybe a second treatment with a functioning can will do a better job. Great customer service, that is the main reason for the five star rating. Would buy again to continue treating the issue, and may consider their other products.

We're purchased and are waiting on our second can of DWD2 Protect. We had a very rainy fall in South Florida and before we realized it, the interior of our 2004 Accord was getting flooded and growing mold. We wiped down the surfaces but could not get into the deep spaces nor eliminate the strong moldy smell. One application of DWD2 Protect and our car interior's mold problem was greatly improved. We bought one more can just to be sure. I'll update this review after we use that one, too.

I had to do a midsize car. I first treated the interior with CLR, then water & vinegar. I scrubbed everything. I then used this product after the smell of vinegar was gone (over two weeks later). There is not enough product in this tiny can. I can see another two to four treatments are going to be needed. In this case, I might as well find another product (cost, time, etc.). And, with such a little amount of the product, it does not get everywhere to treat the mold/mildew. I didn't notice any decrease in smell on the first day. On day 2, the car smelled like alcohol. On day 3, there was a slight reduction in the smell of mold/mildew remaining. But, it was still there. This was a waste of time. It is unlikely that I will buy this product again unless they increase the size of the can and lower the price.

Firstly, don't put the fogger on your middle console. As others have mentioned it can shoot out so much liquid it will get the inside of your car roof soaking wet and then it will drip down on the console. I had to move the can to the car floor. Secondly, you have to give a couple of days for the natural enzyme formula to work. While it did seem to kill the "moldy" smell after a few days....I found that after little over a month the moldy smell started to come back. I've used a second fogger can of this stuff today so I'll update my review and let you know if it permanently removes the moldy odor from my car's AC.

I recently tried this Odor Removing Spray to tackle a persistent moldy smell in my car, and my experience has been mixed. However, my main issue is that the results don't last. After about a week, the moldy smell gradually returns, requiring frequent reapplication. Overall, it's useful for short-term relief, but not a permanent solution.

I bought this because I noticed the dreaded musty smell in my Tesla. I took the time to make sure this product got where I needed it by taking out my air filters and closing the housing for the cabin filters before turning off the AC and recirculating the air. The condenser (where the mildew lives) sits behind the air filters, so I wanted to ensure that the product got where I needed it. I left my air running on recirculate for about an hour after I let the fogger run and I immediately notice a difference. It’s only been one day, so we’ll see if the smell comes back, but the product didn’t leave some scent to mask the smell or anything. It’s just gone. Also, helpful tip-condensers build up mildew because they produce moisture and don’t dry. If you’re running your AC full blast and just turn off your car without letting the air run to dry it off, the mildew smell will come back. Take the time to do this right, figure out where your condenser is, how to get the product onto it, and take steps to prevent mold from coming back. Good luck!

These really do work great if you live in a tropical climate like I do and you have an old car that maybe doesn’t seal perfectly or water somehow gets in if you use one of these, you’re pretty much good for an entire year assuming you dry it out regularly.
