Review: Want GREAT music....buy it....NOW! - Let me first start by saying I normally keep up with "real" music. I love the Foreign Exchange, Eric Roberson, anything soulful or jazzy. I first heard of the Internet when Under Control came on the radio. I was shocked that radio would play something so talented and I was immediately hooked. I began looking up everything I could on the group, even got Spotify so I could hear more from the group---SO GLAD I DID!!! Ever had a CD you could put on and just let it go, or a tape you would play until you literally wore it out? This is symbolically the digital version. My only regret? I wish I'd known about them sooner...I just missed them performing here in Atlanta. Other than that, love them so much, I bought the album Feel Good at the same time as Ego Death. What I really appreciate is nothing seems forced....the music just flows---slow, more upbeat, funk, a little jazzy--IT'S ALL GOOD!!! The sound is authentic and belies the ages of the group---they are really talented.I can honestly say I don't have a favorite, I will say if you buy this for "Under Control" please put the whole thing on a shuffle/repeat so you can truly appreciate it.

Let me first start by saying I normally keep up with "real" music. I love the Foreign Exchange, Eric Roberson, anything soulful or jazzy. I was super late to the Internet, but this album did not disappoint. After first hearing about them sometime around the late twenty-teens I finally got around to listening to their albums in 2023. This was my favorite, so I decided to purchase the physical CD. Had it in heavy rotation for all 2023.
