Works great for me. Totally natural. Trees dogs plants people all fine. Mosquitos didn’t make it.
I was unsure with a mix of reviews online and skeptical of the idea that one natural product would work. But it was reasonably priced and believed it wouldn’t hurt our dog, plants, fireflies and other critters we love. And if it works against Dracula it’s gotta work. I bought the smaller bottle and a pump pressure spray separately for $12. It’s been very hot and muggy for days and days to come, so it was the perfect time to apply. The product comes in a nice sturdy commercial bottle, and is inside a ziplock type bag. That’s smart, as any drop or leak will leave a stain of odor, but I was glad to see and smell that the product had muscle to it. Definitely open and mix outdoors, The garlic smell is huge and lingers in your head, and you may think the house will smell like it forever, but it goes away before you know it. Mixed about 3-4 shots of the garlic juice with a gallon of water in the sprayer applicator. (By the way, taking the sprayer apart to clean is essential, but it’s the most garlic intense moments of all. If inside, run the water slowly washing the outside of the sprayer, then fill it up and let it spray out water until empty.) I was ready to apply, so I did. I had the sprayer set to a strong mist, not too misty or wind will just take it away. I just kept it on spray as I walked around the perimeter of backyard. It’s a mix of bushes, flowers and tall plants. Spray from the ground up otherwise you’ll be under a mist of garlic. And the key is to push the applicator through the leaves, turning it to coat 360 around the leaves. It actually starts to be quite fun. I did my entire backyard and went ahead and did the front set of bushes too. I did this at 6:30 pm while mosquitos were out. You want them there to see and be seen by the sprayer. It certainly agitated them, as they came out from everywhere. Wear long stuff at least the first time. Once done with the front, I walked to backyard. It really smelled like intense garlic, neighbors must have thought I was cooking something horrible, but who cares, this benefits them too. After about 1 hour the odor started to dissipate, the mosquitos were less dense but I was still unsure. Next day I got up when mosquitos would be up, around 6am and there was no smell of garlic, trees and grass were alive and well and the dog was clueless. But, mosquitos were there. Product says to do it 2-3 times. I did it again, much faster. Mosquitos agitated but not as many. Good sign. This time I was done in 15 minutes, and kinda fun, familiar smell. Came back from work, my wife was in the backyard with the dog. Both enjoying the time, no garlic smell and she says she hasn’t been bitten at all. I do see a few as I walk around, but am super impressed. I saw it worked, so I was inspired to do another round. Being an expert applicator now, I did it while my wife grilled. Even asked if the steak needed a spritz of garlic...I thought it was funny. Applied, done, ready for dinner. Ate inside. Had dessert in the backyard, no garlic smell, no citronella candles, and zero mosquitos. Fireflies? Yes, plenty. It works for my yard I walk the dog around the block and there are lots of mosquitos, but we come back to our yard and it’s mosquito free. I’m writing this from my backyard, its been a week and still good, I’m sure I’ll apply again in a week or two, as I start to miss the garlic mist.

A little pricey but we'll worth it.
Best product I've used. I've used it for more than 10 years.

Natural Spray Works Well in Small Gardens
The Mosquito Barrier is the perfect alternative to any industry-grade chemical pest repellent, given you have a small garden. In small areas, I have found that the liquid can divert mosquitoes to other areas. In larger areas, the liquid is not as effective and the bottle tends to finish more quickly. The smell is manageable and it is a plus that this spray is environmentally friendly. The liquid's natural sources also make it more beneficial to local plants and less likely to harm your eyes. Since the success of the Mosquito Barrier spray is directly proportional to amount sprayed per square foot, I would only recommend the Mosquito Barrier if, as I said earlier, you (1) have a small garden and (2) are comfortable with spending slightly more money for an environmentally friendly product.

Will not harm pets, plants and it WORKS!
The BEST mosquito control ever! Very easy to use and it lasts until the next rain. It has a faint garlic smell when you apply it but disappears when it dried. Very cost effective product.

Not effective
2000 sqft backyard in Houston. Used 4 gallons of spray with max suggested concentration. Backyard now smells like a pizzeria. 8 hours later I was out for 5 minutes and gotten bitten 5 times. No impact on the mosquito population.

Works! But ...
This non-pesticide spray product works on the mosquitoes and jumping bugs. To have the most success, you have to spray the bushes and shady areas under the trees, including the underside and undergrowth as much as possible, not just the grass. Mosquitoes often take advantage of the cover provided by bushes and trees - they don't actually hang out on the open grass in the hot sun any more than most people do. My yard has been bite-free after spraying. Although this product works there are a couple of things to be aware of. (1) When another reviewer said the lawn smelled like an Italian Restaurant for a couple of hours, that is an understatement at least during the spraying. The smell dissipates after a couple of hours, and I will gladly trade a light garlic odor for no bites. (2) You will see the desirable insects running away from the spray too, such as spiders. (3) This product will clog some spray machines. We had two battery-operated spray pumps (purchased by someone else ... yard work is more enticing for some people when a motor is involved!) and both sprayers are now completely clogged and useless. Because of the design of the electric pump I may not be able to repair it, so, the Mosquito Barrier product loses two stars because I have to get another sprayer. I did shake well as directed, and I will try the pressurized manual type next, or maybe one attached to a hose, those types might be less prone to clogs. Note to manufacturer - please filter the sediments from the product. (4) Wash your yard clothes by themselves after spraying.

Great results and no chemicals
We have a back patio about 20 yards behind the back of our house that backs up to woods. It's a nice quiet and secluded place to relax or have barbecues, but since it's so close to woods it's been almost unusable due to mosquitoes and gnats unless everyone puts on bug spray, which is a real bummer. Since we have young kids and frequently have other kids over I wanted something natural and without chemicals that would let us reclaim our patio. I read some favorable but mixed reviews on this product and decided to give it a try since I had nothing to lose. I followed the instructions and sprayed all around our backyard patio area and the adjacent woods with my canister sprayer. This included about 8 feet up into the trees, all the bushes and plants, all the ground area, and even the underside and top of our table umbrella. This took about a half hour of spraying and two gallons of spray. I sprayed the evening before a family gathering, and although it did smell like garlic a bit it wasn't that bad, and by the next day it wasn't even noticeable anymore. What was noticeable during our barbecue was the complete lack of pests. Nothing all day and into the evening. It was awesome. That was last year, but I just did the same thing 10 days ago with the same fantastic results. I just walked out there this evening the day after a big rainstorm and still not one gnat or mosquito. Last year I estimate it kept pests away for about three weeks, and so far it seems to be as effective this year. Next time I think I'll try adding some peppermint oil as well, although I can't imagine this working any better than it already does. I wonder if some people who didn't get good results maybe didn't spray their area thoroughly enough as I described above. Anyway, at the very least I'd recommend this as at least being worth a shot.

Low risk, low reward
I've been dealing with mosquitos in my backyard and frontyard but having dogs, been looking for something pet friendly and cost-effective. With a sprayer, sprayed the front bushes/plants and instantly saw mosquitos fly away. Some even flew towards me but the spray didn't kill them, more just annoyed them away. Sadly, even after multiple applications, the mosquitos are still around. So it might work but is very short-lived: Sprayed the front every 2-3 days and mosquitos still hanging around, even going with a stronger dilution.

Works Great
Works well. My neighbour has a pool and they normally don't clean it or fill it so my backyard is overwhelmed with mosquitos from the stagnant water. This helps a lot. The smell dissipates after 30 mins and we spray a few hours before guests or our planned use so we can enjoy our yard.

Way overpriced not effective
Very low effectiveness it's like using a slingshot against a guy with a machine gun don't waste your money unless you want to use the control ticks which I found it somewhat effective controlling mosquitoes not at all

Best product out there not a knock off
Absolutely the best thing for her backyard. It keeps the mosquitoes away for at least two months often three depending on how much rain easy to use.

Didn't last long
Seemed to work for a day or two. Better off getting Pounce if you're wanting something more effective and longer lasting. This is good if you want something more environmentally friendly and don't have a large area to treat. If just a backyard it probably is more worth it, but for the cost and effectiveness it's not good for an acreage.
