Safe, Works great and Sharp. Requires very little effort.
Works Great, sharp and easy. I put the can in a box using plastic gloves puncture from the underside so the spray goes into the box. Should wear a respirator certified for whatever chemicals are in the can. I used paint thinner to clean off, plastic device took the thinner fine but I didn't let it soak in it.

Works perfectly!
I have dozens of half used spray paint cans in my garage cabinet. Been lugging them around with me for years not sure how to get rid of them. This little tool allows you to puncture the can easily and safely so you can drain the unused paint out. I drained 10 cans in about 15 minutes. Just be careful after all the pressure escapes when you flip the can back upside down the paint still comes out with some force. So have a bucket or box set up to catch stray streams of paint.

Safe, affordable, and essential for butane fuel users
Pros: 0 Safety First: I used to puncture empty cans with an awl, which I recently learned from the news is incredibly dangerous. This tool makes the whole process of punching holes completely safe and easy. 0 Highly Portable: It's compact and very easy to carry around. I always keep it right in my butane storage bag. 0 Great Price: It is very affordable for the safety and peace of mind it provides. Final verdict: If you use butane for cooking or camping, safely disposing of the canisters is crucial. I strongly recommend buying this tool!

Japanese Perfection!
Simple, safe, easy to use, lightweight (27 g), and sturdy--as well as inexpensive--this recycling tool is a the BEST I've found yet for prepping spent fuel and other metal canisters for recycling. This thing works on ALL pressurized metal canisters regardless of whether it has a lip around the bottom or not. I use this for pre-filled sinus rinse, hair spray, oven cleaner, glass cleaner, as well as JetBoil fuel canisters. I even puncture the sides of beers to prank my friends at outdoor BBQ's (it's easy to plug the hole with a finger once the leak is discovered, so not much is wasted, and it works equally well on aluminum and steel cans)! The question isn't whether or not you should buy one, but rather how long it will take for the Chinese to pay the Japanese producers the "ultimate compliment" by copying their design!

Small and Effective Tool to Safely Pierce Old Spray Cans
I always worried about throwing out used spray cans until I found this gem of a tool. It easily pierces the can to assure no pressure remains. If you are unsure of things spraying all over the place, get a throw away towel or rag and place it over the tool where you are piercing the spray can. It works smoothly and I like the protector that also doubles as a spray diverter if any pressure remains in the can. I highly recommend it.

Simple and effective design.
Seems to work well. Very simple and punctures the side of the can easily. The blade has a cover for when the item is not being used.

Does the job.
Quite expensive for a tool that just does one job, and Iโm sure you could use something cheaper to do the intended job, but it is a well made item, and perfect size to be both functional and to stick in the camping gear bag.
