It is a very wide head hole, I would think, because the leggs don't completely open for dressing. The snaps at the bottom are not able to come completely off. So in order to get this on the baby one must put the infant's entire body through the shoulder gap, instead of the traditional shirt over the head. Everyones prefferences vary, so I would not take stars off for that.
