Congrats to the writers and director
Congrats to the writers and director.........and the producers of course. This was worthy of an NCIS type episode. It was predictable from the moment you took that first look at that scary Marine dude; but then the plot is beautifully developed as we find out about the clandestine arrangement he's made with the girls father and the devastating consequences that follow.Fast paced, to the point, no nonsense and completely believable. keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Just An OK Movie
It's not so bad, especially since Haylie Duff is in it. It's an OK movie to watch as long as you don't pay the cinema price to see it. A few dollars and watch it at home is OK.

DO NOT WASTE AN HOUR AND A HALF OF YOUR LIFE WATCHING THIS MOVIE!!!
Actually, can you give NEGATIVE stars? LOL...this was the WORST movie I have ever seen in my life...you think they could have maybe accidentally stumbled across at least ONE person who could act. The characters were so awful and unlikeable, I actually found myself wanting each one of them to die. Maybe that was the writer's intention...to get you on the side of the killer...but I couldn't even do that because his acting was just as awful...maybe that's why the classics like Michael Myers and Jason Voorhees have no lines...DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS MOVIE! Trust me, when you're on your death bed someday, you will think to yourself, "If only I had that hour and a half back that I spent watching "Desecrated." Yes, it was that bad!!!!!

Be careful in those woods...
To me this wasn't exactly a standout (it didn't have those creepy scenes that make me cringe, or jump out of my chair), but overall I would say that this was still a respectable effort in portraying 'good people gone bad'. In the beginning (or more specifically, at the part where they're all lounging around the pool), I did think 'Oh, no - this might turn out to be one of those mindless, drinking-smoking-get-undressed-type shows' - but happily it turned out otherwise (not trying to criticize those kinds of movies, but I just don't have the head for them anymore). This did have a pretty solid storyline (Ben was an interesting character); it got me thinking about issues like PTSD (which so many military people seem to suffer from, once they try to go back to normal living again) - it's sort of like trauma, and often it's not easy to treat. Ben made me wonder if maybe he had been afflicted with that at some point... but in the end I decided it was more of just how he was as a person (that caused him to live out his somewhat aloof and reclusive lifestyle). Sometimes though, the lines can be very thin (it can be hard to tell how much of a problem is PTSD-related or just a character flaw). Also: I recognized actor Skyler Stone (he played Larry in this) right from the opening scene; it was good to see him again, because last time I saw him he (or I should say his character Mike Malloy's, from the 'Hostel III' flick) was getting his face 'worked on' by a doctor gone mad (I still love that movie). It's always interesting to get into a particular horror movie, and then one day you see one of the characters in a different setting (like I just did with Skyler), and you think 'I've seen him before - that's Mike from Hostel III! He's alive!' It's almost like a relief... Anyway - this flick is worth a watch, if you like seeing the darker side of people and trying to figure out their motives for doing what they do.

If you want to play a Marine vet have an actual Marine vet train him. Michael Ironside and Hailey Duff did well but the rest of the cast were terrible.

Seek & hide or Hide & seek.
Just another film of some poor guy having a elongated or very dragged out psychotic break. Beware, there are people out there like this and they hide in their own seclusion, just like the ending might suggests.

The trailer, the tire, what's next?
The film opens with three guys hunted and killed in the woods by a large man in a gas mask. Next Haylie Duff is introduced as what would be "the final girl" for another cabin-in-the-wooods type of film. There is only one suspect for the killer and they don't keep it a mystery. They let you know on the back of the DVD cover.Boring people with boring dialogue. The kill scenes are camera shy.Guide: F-word, implied sex, implied rape. No nudity
