KOHLER K-37050-BN Alteo 18-Inch Metal Bathroom Towel Bar, Vibrant Brushed Nickel

This towel bar was the perfect replacement for the old 18-inch towel bar in my new home that had a bit of a dated look. The bar comes with all of the mounting hardware you need, including wall anchors if you aren't screwing into studs. It was easy to install using my existing towel bar's anchors because the screws that came with this towel bar were the same size. You screw brackets onto the wall, then slide the ends of the towel bar onto the brackets and tighten hidden screws underneath using the included Allen tool. That's it. This is a nice towel bar for giving your bathroom a new look.

Got the 18" towel bar and the matching toilet paper holder a few months back before starting my bathroom remodel, and now that it is finally finished and these are both up I'm so happy these are the style I ended up deciding on over various others. They are very well made and sturdy. So clean and sleek, modern but not too much so, I went with more of a spa look in my bathroom and these look amazing. Just ordered some new spa type, clean white towels, can't wait for them to come in so I can put the finishing touches on my new space!

I bought the Alteo accessories, including this towel bar to coordinate with the Kohler Elmbrook 8 in. Widespread 2-Handle Bathroom Faucet in Vibrant Brushed Nickel. It is a good color match and very pretty. Unfortunately, it was too small for my use - I wanted to center it over the back of the toilet in my guest bathroom. I returned it for the 24” version. ps - before choosing between the 18” and 24” towel bars, measure your space And your towels. The 18” bar doesn’t have much room left after you hang a regular sized bath towel on it, while with the 24”, I was able to hang both a bath towel and hand towel on it (folded in thirds).

bought a few of these towel bars, as well as other matching items in this line of kohler's, and have not been disappointed. well thought out design, good packaging, great quality, very solid, (and of course, i love the look). thank you kohler, you hit a home run with these. couldn't be happier. and kudos for including a install template with each item!

I wasn't sure if these would work because they model in Home Desperate was badly broken. However, they have held up nice so far. I mean I wouldn't try to stand on them, but the rounded edges actually improve the load handling. They helped save space in our very small bathroom because the rounded edges allow you to brush by them without drawing blood. I also overlapped them slightly (one higher than the other) to reduce footprint further and add style. I like it!

Nice match to both the Kohler Alteo and Willammette faucets--we chose the models for their simple, elegant lines--not too modern for our traditional style home. Installation is easy, whether you mount to a stud in the wall or a hollow-wall anchor. Too soon to report on finish durability. Functionally, something I never really encountered was the narrow diameter of the towel bar and how it affects holding towels. The bar is just over 1/2" in diameter. Though seemingly common today, this is smaller than the traditional square towel bar and offered minimal friction to towels hung over the bar. If the towel is not reasonably centered when folded over the bar, the imbalance in weight can easily let the towel slide off the bar. A rougher surface might help reduce this tendency.

Good quality towel holder. Drywall installation instructions could be improved. -> After drilling a 5/16" hole, square up hole with a small knife. This will allow drywall anchor to slide into hole easier.

I remodeled both bathrooms in my house and used this product in both. Very nice finish and easy to install. they also seem quite sturdy.

Great Looks. I've purchased it to match the rest of the Alteo Kohler line, which I found much cheaper here than at big improvements stores. It came well protected. The finish is stunning and installation instructions straight forward. We couldn't be more happier. Will be ordering the 24inch bar as well once in stock.
