Yes, I am African American man. And I use this. And it’s great! My hair has NEVER been softer and shinier! And also my hair strength is better - less breakage and split ends. It’s not greasy or oily but just right. If you’re concerned if this will work for you, buy a small tube first before you dive in to the large size. This also smells like a luxury resort hotel lobby, and I love that it’s a brand I’m familiar with, being a child of the 80’s. There’s a reason why the price is on the high side- because it actually works! You owe it to yourself to at least try this, you will not go wrong and your type 4 hair will be nice and moisturized but not greasy. It rinses clean and is somewhat weightless. You only need a small amount because it lathers like a beast.

I love this shampoo, it's the best. I use it for the color treated hair benefits. Your hair will be soft and conditioned. It smells so good, kind of like apricot but not overwhelming. 8.5oz lasts me a long time. I don't need conditioner. However, Amazon Prime has changed return policies, they make it real hard to return anything now. That's why I have Prime the easy returns and fast shipping. The fast shipping isn't so fast anymore! I just bought a product and it took over 4 days to get here! $14.99 a month for what? Oh Hell No, I cancelled my Prime today, it's just not worth it. I'm sure there is lots of return refund fraud with such a relaxed policy, but Amazon never should've allowed that to begin with. Buh Bye Amazon, you are not worth it.

I'm a beauty junkie and have tried literally every professional hair care brand out there, and nothing, I mean NOTHING compares to this stuff! Not even kerastase or oribe! This shampoo smells absolutely heavenly and makes my thick, course, horse hair super duper soft, tangle free and squeaky clean. Paired with the conditioner, my hair is like silk. I don't know what they put in this stuff but I don't care it's amazing! I hope they never stop making it. Seriously buy this stuff

Love his shampoo as it is not too heavy to flatten your hair. Very cleansing and leaves your hair with a shine.

This shampoo never fails me. I’ve tried to switch to other shampoos thinking the grass will be greener and it never has been. I always come back to this stuff. I’ve probably used it for over 10 years now and will continue to do so!

I got an original bottle. You can tell as the smell is divine. I used to buy this from my hairdresser but changed hairdressers and she doesn't use these products. I used to buy them at the Walmart hairdresser but theirs wasn't the real deal. It smelt bad and didn't lather at all. So if it doesn't smell good you got a dud.
