Red Biquinho Chupetinho Heirloom Little Beak Pickling Pepper Premium Seeds for Planting Packet

I bought these seeds in Feb but didn’t get around to planting until April - the weather in midamerica has been cooler than normal and germination was slow- nearly a month after planting but once the temps warmed into the 80s i has 100% sprouts! 11 seeds came in the pack and 11 tiny peppers are now growing. I’m very happy with these seeds

I want to give a zero star rating for zero seeds sprouting, and a zero for Sherwood's Seeds customer service. My first attempt at contacting Sherwood's Seeds was through the their contact page---this page does not work. After a week of waiting, I emailed them directly and got a response; no, a disappointment. You see, of the 11 seeds I received, 2 initially sprouted in good potting soil. I nurtured them for weeks, first indoors in Northern Illinois, then outside on May 15. I was excited that the plants grew quickly and flowered. The flowers soon turned to clumps of berries (?) then they turned black. After a quick google search I realized that the seeds they sent me were BLACK NIGHTSHADE, a poisonous plant, not the Red Biquinho Peppers that I paid for. In a condescending tone, Sherwood Seeds blamed my potting soil, I blame them for poor seed or packaging. I requested a refund, they did not comply. Sherwood's Seeds do not stand behind their products. Sure, they sent me a replacement packet of Red Biquinho Pepper seeds, but it's now late July and the growing season is over. Their seed packets are not labeled with the year they are packed for, like other seed companies. I think they're selling old seed. I should have heeded the warning from other reviewers. Save your time, energy and money and buy seeds from any other company.

Well, it’s early days yet, for this growing season, but what I can say so far, is that all of the seeds that I planted (4) from this packet have germinated, and they did not take very long to get started (I think just a few days, as I recall - I planted them in cups a few weeks ago, and they are coming along. I am excited to see how they turn out! I discovered this pepper variety last fall on some pizzas from a mobile brick oven pizza business in my state, and I knew from the first bite, that I would have to try to find seeds and grow them. I am expecting delicious times from these seeds later this summer! 🙂

I was a little concerned with reviews stating low germination rates. This is my first time growing peppers from seed so I did some googling. Heat is essential to germinate pepper seeds. I put mine in a condiment container and set it on a heart mat. 100% germination.

Not overwhelmed with these seeds. Sadly only 50% germination rate. Recieved 11 seeds, planted 10. Only 5 have germinated. We'll see how these 5 turn out...

Two years in a row. Excellent germination rate. Excellent product. I think these guys know their stuff.I love these peppers in a salad. Their heat is maybe, if the wine is right, a dad more than a red pepper. The flavor is an absolute tongue delight.

Disappointing since these are one of the most delightful vegetables I’ve ever encountered. 0% germination.
