After losing both of their parents in an accident, Haruka and his twin sister Sora move out of the city to the rural town where they spent their childhood summers. In their new home, everything seems peaceful until Haruka discovers a special, forbidden love that may disrupt the entire town! FEATURING ALL 12 EPISODES BASED ON THE POPULAR GAME & MANGA Director Takeo Takahashi DVD Specs NTSC, Region 1, Rated 16 & Up, 16:9, Color, Japanese w/ English Sub (Stereo), Run Time: 300 min. Review: A touching story about finding love, with a caveat. - Technically what follows "contains spoilers," but if you don't know the plot yet, you should probably continue: This is a very emotionally engaging, well-done tale of two orphans growing up in rural Japan. After many struggles and false starts, they finally fall in love with each other and find happiness. Unfortunately, they are also brother and sister, so... it's complicated. Haruka (brother) and Sora (sister) move back to the small town they grew up in after their parents die in a car accident. They are not alone, however, as there are many childhood friends for them to interact with. This is both good and bad, as there is some awkward history to be revealed. Haruka pursues school and romances with several of his friends, but none of them work out. At the same time Sora, his sister, is trying to recover from a lifetime of frailty and illness, and insists she is too sick to go to school. Haruka dotes on her and tries to encourage her. Haruka sees signs of what's coming and tries to change the direction of things, but ultimately the road leads where it will lead: One night, after Haruka has been tending to Sora, who is recovering from a high fever, he falls asleep on the floor next to her bed. Sora wakes up, climbs onto his lap and confesses the thing they have both been fighting: "I love you." There's more that happens, but that's where I'll end this. It's worth watching. Review: Yosuga no sora, ( In solitude where we are least alone ), Destined to be a cult classic - First let me say that this NOT FOR CHILDREN under 17, this not because of the partial nudity, but more for the incest them on the 4th disc. In fact this could almost pass for soft porn. I have to say that as far as eechi romance goes this is at the top of the list now this is12 episodes on a 4 disc package 4 episodes per disc. Just so you know the first episode is repeated on every disc. Now I had seen this before and it is exact in every way to the broadcast version. this is totally uncensored including the finally disc. the quality is as good or better than the broadcast version which was pretty dam good. This is another one of those sleepers that in Japan took the country by storm for the content as well as the artwork which is fantastic to say the least. This is one anime I could see over and over again, ( great to see with your girl ). I know that once this is seen it will catch on and become a sleeper here in the U.S. Trust me the person who drew this was a true artist, one that knows the human body. I gave this 10 out 10

A very Emotionally Tugging set of Stories
This series if you allow yourself to attach to the characters you can feel the joys and the pains they feel. The music also really draws out emotions too. My only complaints are that (1) I feel that there could have been more episodes to draw it out as sometimes the story events happen in rapid succession almost giving a whiplash effect. (2) The video resolution hints at how old the Anime is as I think that it must be 480p/480i native. VLC with Upscaling support helps to some extent but anyone viewing on a high res monitor will notice the video quality being a tad lower than many other animes on dvd.

They are setup in story arcs on each disc.
There is a story arc on each disc so the episodes are not in order of release. You can go to each disc to skip to the episodes to watch them in order or watch it as the separate story arcs which will have you watching the same episode multiple times. Your choice

Discs don't work at all. Terrible product
Great series overall though it would be nice if the actual discs played. I tried getting them to work on a dvd player, ps4, xbox 360 and even my pc to no avail. I can't see why anyone would rate this 5 stars unless they actually rated it before they got their hands on the product. I'm terribly disappointed and want a refund.

Great set, love Yosuga no Sora
Great set, love Yosuga no Sora, its a great series, one of my favorites. Each story arc is on a different disc (4 discs total). The image is good, the audio is also good. Not many extras outside of a small slideshow with various images on the first disc. Great to own if you're a fan of the series and want to own a physical set, I doubt we'll ever get a localized blu-ray set so grab this while you can!

Story Arcs 1-3: Great! 4: -F
The 1st three story arcs were great! Slice of life, romance. Very enjoyable. The 4th disc/arc not so much. Otherwise this would be 5 stars for the anime. The 4th disc was scratched up from shipping, but I was still able to watch some of it, and it got too weird for me anyway, so no big deal. If you do buy it, don't pay too much for it.

This is one of my five favourite animes, all-time. It has great art, interesting characters not from the stock anime catalogue, and 4 separate story arcs, so it you don't like one, you still have four to choose from. I already had the Japanese Blu-ray and the picture quality here is pretty close. The subtitles are clear and easy to read. Although there are only 12 episodes this has 4 to each of 4 discs as the first episode is repeated on each. It seems rather unnecessary unless you want to just watch one story arc out of sequence, while the hero has three different affairs the background story of his love for his sister continues to develop throughout the whole 9 episodes culminating in the last 3. Oh yeah, this is a very sensitive treatment of brother-sister incest, not the usual 'They're not actually blood relations' joking from most anime. If the very idea of incest revolts you, better steer clear. Also there is explicit sex in every story arc (although only a warning on the last disc), so unless you want to do a lot of explaining better keep it away from junior.

Bought this on whim read reviews and just went with it. Normally not my kind of anime but I LOVED it which surprised me like I said not my kind of story. I loved the story not sure why watched the whole series in one day. My only real thing is why did they repeat first episode on each disc

some may find the four parts annoying to watch for some is story repeated, however i did not find this at all. A very well done anime in my opinion and just the right amount of fanservice.
