Those raised plastic things are one-way valves that are designed NOT to filter the air you breathe out, so they let you spread germs to others. On the one the sent me, the valves were defective and do not seal properly when I breathe in, letting in unfiltered air. And it's super uncomfortable. Also, this seems to be a counterfeit knockoff of a brand-name (Rockbros) cycling mask.Long version:(1) This mask is designed to ONLY filter air you breathe in, not the air you breathe out. I didn't understand when I bought it that those raised plastic things are supposed to be one-way valves. Even if this worked as designed, it's not useful for the pandemic, as it's not meant to stop you from spreading your germs to others.(2) But it doesn't work as designed. The one-way valves do not seal when you breathe in, which is the whole point of a one-way valve! Other reviews flag the same problem, so I don't think this is a one-off defect with the one they sent me.(3) The fit is terrible. The ear loops are too small and are super uncomfortable. Also, the back strap is too big. I don't know who this would fit -- if your head is big enough for the back strap to work, you're not going to be able to get the ear loops on.(4) The packaging has directions that are badly written and make little sense, but clearly contradict what the seller says on the page about filter replacement (one week vs. one month).(5) The brand name on the packaging is "Rockbros," which doesn't match the listing. Rockbros is a US-based cycling brand, but this seems to be a fake knockoff, as the valves are different and there's no Rockbros logo on the mask itself. Also, an American brand would presumably be able to produce directions written in comprehensible English, instead of running Chinese directions through Google translate.(6) The packaging claims it's a KN 95 mask. Even setting aside the defective valves that are letting unfiltered air through, that seems rather implausible, as the filters themselves look really janky. ### ⭐ Defective Product *by C***N on Reviewed in the United States on May 19, 2020* The mask arrived with one valve. The seller agreed for me to ship the mask back....all the way to CHINA. Shipping cost on me. ### ⭐⭐ Small sized *by P***M on Reviewed in the United States on July 8, 2020* This mask seemed okay, but too small for my normal size adult male face.There was also only one "nice" filter with the mask. The replacement filters it came with were smaller and covered less area inside of the mask, making it easier for air to move around the edges.
