It just let's you use 5/8 instead 1/2 hole saw. This thing is great value for the money, I use an angle finder to dial in cuts instead of the one etched in, and I keep it well lubricated with cutting oil. Are there better ones put there? Yes but they are more expensive. This is a great unit for the money. With the hole saw i am using with 1 1/4 tube. I cant do any angel** A: You may just need a shorter hole saw. The only problem with that though is that your hole saw needs to be longer than the width of your tube or else it will bottom out on the tube.
