Didn't expect much but solid emergency radio
So bought one like this before and it was obviously a piece of crap novelty toy that wouldn't hold a charge and charged sloooow as all hell on the crank. I expected similar from this and since the other would be dead after a day or so on a full charge I expected this to do the same. Got this one and I let it drain till it was dead with the flashlight then tested the crank from dead and after a few cranks you could already hear the radio. The other one I bought was so bad I didn't expect this at all, you would have to crank a ton and barely got like a min of radio. This one there is minimal cranking to make it an effective radio. As for battery retention, I just pulled it out of my bugout bag after sitting in the closet for a 15 months (without light so didn't charge through the solar panel). I thought no doubtedly it will be dead but shockingly the light and radio still worked fine and the low battery indicator wasn't even lit. Not only that but it still would charge my phone with the supplied cables plus a separate lightning cable at 5 Volts .3 Amps which isn't very fast but it'll get your phone back on in an emergency. The only thing I'm not a fan of is that the radio charges through a mini USB cable instead of a micro USB cable, and mini USB cables just aren't commonly found nowadays. Other than that solid radio, great emergency or camp light. Great for the glove box.

Highly recommend, worth the money, thoughtfully designed
This is an awesome product and thoughtfully made. Package comes exactly as described. In fact, I wasn't expecting it to come with the two sets of cords (USB charger and an aux cord). It was smaller than expected, slightly smaller than my Samsung S5. It makes it easier to stow away, so no complaints there. -- Radio: After cranking it for 100 seconds, it has played 3 songs and an entire commercial set on the radio. As I am writing this, the little radio is still playing. The sound is crystal clear. The tuner is sensitive enough to locate a station. The dials are cleverly set in to the case so that you don't turn them by accident. The antenna is adjustable. -- Light: VERY bright. Description says 50 Lumens. The light is bright enough that it's painful to shine in my eyes. However, the light refraction is meant for long distances, which will be more useful for hiking through the dark than for up-close applications (like starting a fire). The light cone looks like a bullseye, darkness, and one ring of light around it. -- Battery life: Excellent. 100s of cranking powered over 7 minutes of radio. Also, when the device is charging, a red light comes on indicating that the battery is receiving a charge. The ambient light from my bedroom is enough to charge the solar panel. Overview: This is worth the money, and then some. The case is solid, durable, and compact enough that it can be carried virtually anywhere. Battery life is excellent, radio is crystal clear, and the light is decent enough that I would use this hiking, camping, or in an emergency bag. I highly recommend.

Picks up better stations from everywhere then my truck. Bug out bag must have!
I have to say I ordered this product just to see how far things have advanced sense I used to idolize Manuel power products. I have to say this picks up AM radio FM radio and NoAa Even out of the box the lights turned on the radio turned on and I didn’t even need to crank it. Now let’s be honest you know this item sat on a shelf for a long time and I’m not even sure they crank these over and over and over to charge them up fully before putting on the shelf so I’m not going to complain one bit it definitely works. As for the construction, The radio station selector is touchy, you have to turn extremely slowly or you will miss a channel or two but this thing picks up so many channels. I have not tried the solar, and I have not tried the USB to charge my phone. It is solid and I like it. I would buyagain and for friends. Light is bright with 50 moderate speed cranks, about a minute worth. I should note, the crank handle seems thin, but I pay attention and do moderate cranks, no tweaking, steady revolutions so its a 4 star but man I rate it almost as good as my Sthil chainsaw Ihave had for 20 years! This is headed to my bug out bag.

Great for storm season
Found this little solar/crank light/radio on amazon and thought it would be a great thing to have during a power failure. Living in Florida, hurricanes are a part of our reality. This little powerhouse greatly exceeded my expectations. I left it in the sun to charge for a day and was surprised at the brightness of the flashlight, it is equal to lights that need batteries (that I never seem to have on hand). As soon as I flipped the radio on to the weather band, the announcer came on loud and clear. The AM and FM work fine too, but when storms are coming in the weather band is most important to me. The crank charger is easy to turn and stores away perfectly and as an added bonus it even has a charger port and a cord included to charge your cell phone! All of these options in a tiny size that is easy to store, and at a great price too! Love it! This is one of my favorite purchases.

Bought it several months ago. We turn it on now and then but not for long though. We haven't really used it outdoors so not sure how long will the battery last under continuous use. But I can confirm that we haven't re-charged/wind it up even once since we bought it and everything still works including radio and led light.

Bought several of these as Christmas gifts. Great price, and works well. Perfect to have onhand in case the power goes out or for the cottage or camping. Gives peace of mind in case of power outage...
