What is the necklace made of (material)?

I think it's stainless steel with a gold overlay. I can tell you that I'm allergic to metals other than stainless steel, silver, gold, or platinum, so if it had nickel alloy in it, I'd be itching like crazy and I'm not! It's very pretty and fun.

Is the 16" measurement from the end to the pendant drop?

The one I have is 15.5 inches from the clasp to the tip of the longest drop.
