I eat limited amounts of potatoes prepared a certain way. Barley is my grain of choice because it is high in fiber, very nutritious and (most importantly) has the lowest glycemic index of popular grains, thereby preventing blood sugar spikes. This brand comes in the size I prefer to buy, and because it is 'hulled' (the inedible outer hull has been removed), it is considered a whole grain. Being organic is always a plus.
