This has been fantastic and cooled down a big living room/ dining room. Was 32°c outside and 35 inside. Turned this on and got the room down to a more comfortable 24° in a couple hours. Realistically you need it in an open space, I've moved it to the bedroom and it's able to hold 23°c when the internal room temp started at 28°c. My only issue with the unit is that yes it's noisier than expected, but still able to sleep through when night mode is on. Secondly, the drain port is awfully designed being so close to the floor. Requires you to lift the unit into a shower for draining or have the flattest tray in the world which wouldn't hold much water meaning you do many many trips back and forth. Overall though for the price I am extremely happy, especially as I can switch it on from work when I see my room temps getting too high.

Having order one I tried cancelled within a fee hours before even being dispatched, no contact from seller, didn't arrive on time, when it did arrive then they finally contactable me, as you see in the photo it arrived poorly box had no base so was delivered upside down, obviously been sent back before, faulty, the noise level is horrible and it leaks on the floor so have to sit it in plastic tub, do not waste £300 !!!

Been great for me. I didn't realise but it evaporated the water it makes with the air con to cool the compressor so you don't actually need to empty it till the end of the season. It cools well enough. My gaming pc competes with it so when it's over 33° it struggles if I'm gaming. But if I wawnt gaming it's perfectly fine. It's quite noisy in the bedroom but I taped a large insulated pipe similar to what it exhausts that I can move to the next room. That worked a treat for a cold bedroom and a quiet night. Bit too heavy for my wife to move up and down stairs but from room to room it's fine. Easy to set up and get going and the app is useful. And it's well built. But a fitting for the intake to have another hose so it doesn't suck from the room would make it so much better.

This seems to work quite well giving a good cool airflow. The supplied hose is far too short for some uses if a window is not conveniently close and very rigid - had to buy a longer more flexible one to suit my needs. The major issue is the noise - maybe mine has a fault - but a few mins after it starts up the fan gives a very loud whining noise that fluctuates in volume which to me suggests not in alignment or something. I find that propping the front edge up a few centimetres reduces the noise to some degree but should not be needed . Get what you pay for I guess - not that it was particularly cheaper but probably not the best brand for AC units.

It cools the bedroom effectively, though a very hot day will be the real test. It’s well designed and can be operated remotely via the Black+Decker app. The biggest barrier to efficient air conditioning in the UK is often our awkward window designs. Window-mounted air conditioners would be a great option, but it’s rare to find a window that accommodates them properly. So portable units are our only option. This unit comes with a window kit, which is often the best solution available. Getting a good seal between the exhaust pipe and the window is the biggest challenge. I’ve also ordered some insulation for the exhaust hose. Once that’s in place, this unit should cool a small room quite well. Like any portable AC unit it’s heavy. It’s quite loud but not in a way that annoys me particularly. Slept with it on overnight and didn’t wake me up or anything. Seems to be well built and I like the design. Price seems reasonable, and I’m quite glad I went with a known brand, rather than taking a gamble with the other options. Got the 9000BTU unit on sale at £299. I suspect prices and availability may increase as the summer hits.

Product was noisy, barely cooled the room and had a reasonably useless window fitting. Opted to return the item and have to pay for the privilege. Will be avoiding this company at all costs.

All service good, value for money with 2 yr warranty, works well, handy remote control, did not take long to set up. would have preferred a different window seal as one provided dose not allow the A/C to be move room to room as it has to have adhesive tape to secure.

I am so glad I purchased this just before a heat wave! It’s great with the app on your phone to adjust the air con or with the remote. I like the fact there’s also a fan and dehumidifier included as they will both come in useful!!! Today it was 32 degrees outside and the unit display showed as 21 degrees inside my lounge 😁👍 it’s kept myself and my dog very happy and cool!!! It’s easy to move around on its wheels, the window kit was easy to install to. My only slight disappointment is that I’ve had to turn the TV up as the only window suitable is in the lounge. But it’s been fabulous for this heat wave and I’ve ordered another one for upstairs! 9/10 😁👍
