It has an open/close function that can be operated at its handle, where the spreading quantity can also be adjusted. The cover slide with its seal lip seals the spreader container so well that nothing slips out when it is stationary or being filled or after use. The special scattering roller in the GARDENA Spreader L distributes the spreading material evenly and cleanly and on where it is supposed to go. The spreader can be cleaned easily with water. It is nice and compact and I used it to spread fertiliser on my lawn. The flow can be adjusted to deliver more or less product with every turn and the crank handle has a smooth, even motion and is easy to turn. It is easy to clean and looks like it is built to last.

The only thing with this is the instructions couldve been better and more helpful especially for those people being a novice with seeding a lawn I feel. However no doubt lots of helpful advice online and via their customer services. Just needs to be included in the wrapping on this seeder. If this had been inc I wouldve given 5 stars.

As you’d expect with Gardena products this item is well put together using quality plastics. It is nice and compact and I used it to spread fertiliser on my lawn. The flow can be adjusted to deliver more or less product with every turn and the crank handle has a smooth, even motion and is easy to turn. It is easy to clean and looks like it is built to last.
