I was pleasantly surprised by how well this mousse works. My hair is fine, but I have a lot of it and it’s naturally curly, so finding products that give definition without weighing everything down can be tricky. This mousse actually did what I normally need two products to accomplish. It helped define my curls while still keeping my hair light and soft instead of stiff or crunchy. My hair also felt really good after using it — not dry or sticky like some styling mousses can leave it. Another bonus is the scent. It smells really nice without being overpowering, and the coconut and shea combination gives your hair a fresh, clean smell after styling. It's good, it smells nice, and it's cheap! The bottle comes with a good amount of product and doesn't leak very much for me. It is a pump so application is easy. I will say, you may need to shake the bottle to make the product foamier while coming out. It has a decent hold, but if you want more defined waves/curls, you need to get something else. This is more effortless beach waves rather than model hair. If your hair is thirsty, this isn't as good as holding moisture as other brands like Cantu. Yes, the dollars tell the difference. It does work, though!

Review written in 2 parts: “prelude” describes my hair’s background for those who relate, “actual review” talks about my experience with the product. Prelude: Ok, this is my second ever attempt with mousse so grain of salt for the super-experienced, but this is amazing. I was never taught how to manage my curls. Grew up with it a la Hermione until I got my hands on my first hair straightener and that was it. I’ve put it up, straightened it and chemically straightened to help me out my whole life because it was just easier. I’m in my 30’s. I have zero clue what my curl pattern actually is. I’d never even heard the term until maybe 2 years ago. About half of my length is still “permanently straightened” with a Japanese hair perm, which on my hair = moderately tamed. All this to say, I have no idea what I’m doing and while I keep up with trims and use heat protectants, my hair is *pretty damaged* with a messed up curl pattern. Then TikTok started showing my curly hair stuff, particularly black hair TikTok, which is much closer to my hair texture and experience than anything else. My only other mousse experience was an absolute desperation buy trying to get my hair to relax while on a vacation much more humid than I’d bargained for. Sticky disgusting, crunchy and with impossible frizz. So after a crazy amount of time watching TikTok’s about course curly hair, I power-bought a bunch of the top recommended products, this being one of them. Giant leap of faith for a forever straightener. But my hairs about half way down my back now, keeping it up in the summer humidity is starting to give me headaches and if anything at all wound up just helping, I’d take it. Actual review: I tried this brand first of the 2 mousses I bought to try out because I’m familiar with the brand through their oils, scrubs and soaps, which I really love. I figured if there was a safe bet, it was this one. I over-researched the best ways to prep the hair and put it in, but it turns out I hardly had to bother. This is the easiest apply and go catch all of all time. You don’t need your hair sopping wet, you don’t have to section it, it doesn’t require anything before and you can brush it out. No stickiness, no crunch, no heaviness, no residue-feel and somehow, miraculously, no frizz. I could just strangle John Frieda. My first try with it I did all the things: applied it to super-wet detangled hair, scrunched it, did the plop method, diffused it and babied the life out of it. Came out great other than the dreaded triangle of my hair shape was obvious since I’ve been a straight cut girl forever. But even my super-abused curls came out. Could even immediately tell where the Japanese permanent straightening line sat. The curl sections just found themselves and I didn’t have to finger roll or anything. It survived through sleep. It looks so much prettier than I ever hoped. Soft and shiny. Clearly, this works. Like actually works. Without exaggeration, no hair product has ever immediately inspired this level of trust for me. I just kept staring at it because I couldn’t believe it. I’ve tried everything and can’t believe it was this simple the whole time. Ugh. I know my hair scares the life out of salons and they can’t be trusted to not give me a mullet when thinning, so I decided to give myself one now that I saw where the triangle shape of my hair sat without the frizz blur. Just whipped out my razor comb that I use for split ends and took out about half of my hair from the mid-length down. Super flipping soft and shiny after that, omg. And so much lighter. If you need a photo to visualize: look up Erika Badu. That’s my hair’s un-thinned natural volume size, just of a looser texture. Washed my hair and knowing how well this stuff worked, I dispensed with all the back breaking labor. Just used it like a detangler: put my hair up in a towel to get it to just damp, put the product in, brushed it through, put it up in a hair towel for about an hour, then let it out to air-dry. I can’t believe how good it looks and feels. Actually unreal. I even straightened my hair with it in and that’s by far the shiniest finish of my life. Like hair-commercial shiny. If you want something good enough to inspire a drastic haircut and become insta-loyal, this is the one. This is THE perfect product. I’m about to legit throw out a crazy amount of product that this instantly replaces. For my forever-straight girls out there that just need a freaking break, give it a shot. I know my hair isn’t your hair, but good god, if this works on my hair, $7 is worth the gamble.

Tried this when my old hair mousse seemed to not work very well with my short hair cut. I wasn't expecting much because of the cheap price, but I was pleasantly surprised! My hair looks curly and cute, feels soft, barely any frizz (which is great with the humidity in my hometown) and it smells great! I'd highly recommend this over any other "salon brand" as it is much cheaper and still gives great results.

I bought this on a lark because of the high number of reviews and the low price. I'm amazed it works so well. My curls are soft and not frizzy at all. I will definitely be buying this again.

I’ve been through a lot of hair products looking for that ‘magic bullet’ that will check all the boxes. This is as close as it gets for me. And my daughter. She promptly stole this from me after she used it a few times and it did well for her hairstyles. Anyway, I have short, 3B/C hair and didn’t want weight and didn’t want a crunchy hold. This makes my hair SO soft! And as long as I don’t play with it once it’s set, it will hold all day. This is hard as I’m always wanting to play with my hair or scratch my head. It’s also easy to refresh. Just spray on some water and add a few pumps of mousse, and you’re back on track. I also like the fragrance. It’s not too heavy or cloying. It’s light and clean. I let it air dry and have a more ‘flat’ style. My daughter uses a diffuser and that gives her volume. It also keeps the hair from looking fried. It’s not a glossy look, but not dry like straw either. I have no idea of the ingredients, but this is about 1/4 the price of other products and does a better job, in my opinion.

ممتاز لازم تضع كميه كبيره من المنتج على الشعر المبلل ليعطي نتائج ممتازه، نتيجه افضل اذا اضفت البلسم او الماسك قبله. انا ارى بأنه مناسب جدا للشعر المجعد يعطي طبقه رقيقه من الصلابه بعد جفاف الشعر ولمعه ممتازه. اخذت نجمه لأن ممكن المنتج يخلص بسرعه مع ان يبدو ان الحجم كبير ولكن لازم تستخدم كميه كبيره من المنتج لتكون النتائج جيده للشعر المجعد. مع استخدام قبعه او مخده ستان التسريحه تبقى ممتازه لثلاثه ايام على الأقل

Este producto es genial para mí. Tengo el pelo muy seco y vivo en una ciudad con mucha humedad en el ambiente lo que hace que se me encrespe mucho el pelo. Ahora, uso una crema hidratante activadora de rizos (de Garnier) y luego me pongo está espuma y nunca he tenido el pelo tan bonito, hidratado y con rizos no apelmazados. Al día siguiente solo humedezco el pelo un poco y ya está. Sin secador ni nada. He probado muchas cosas para pelo rizado, pero está combinación me va genial y la espuma no deja restos en el pelo.
