It has a heavy duty cord. The barrel has a nice weight to it and heats up quickly. The temp control is of better quality than some. But... it has some weird molded teeth/comb on the edge of the heat plate. Guess its supposed to help guide your hair, but it caused breakage on my fine hair. Otherwise, its a nice product, with a great price. So it cant do me any good.
