GIOVANNI Cool Mint Lemonade Salt Scrub, Essential Oils, 9 Oz (1 Pack)

The first time when I used this product it was in the winter and I was SHOCKed by the Cooling effect on the skin. I was jumping around and thought I bought the wrong product. The product was left on the shelf. A few months later when the weather warms up in California, I was so hot and sweaty one day and decided to give the product another trial. The rest is history....I LOVE this product especially on a hot summer day. (The cooling effect is still there but not as strong as my first time.) Note. I am no expert. I know I have dry skin and Northern California weather is never muggy so this product provides the perfect coolness and needed moisturizing for me - as anther review claimed this product is greasy and sticky.

Several years ago, I found this product at a chain drugstore, bought it, and loved it. When I went back to purchase more, the product had disappeared from the shelves. Recently I had found myself wishing for an exfoliating scrub again and I had a sudden flashback to the fresh, invigorating scent and tingly clean feeling I'd gotten from this product and was overjoyed to see that Amazon carried it. I wished it came in a single-pack, but after telling my mother how fantastic this scrub is, I ended up sending her the second one. In the future, I don't think I'll be bothered by buying it in the 2-packs, since I'm going through this container pretty quick. I do have to address the "film" that several reviewers mention. When I wash off all the salt, there is a definite coating left on my skin. But as a person with very dry skin, I find that it reduces the amount of lotion I need to apply. And in my morning routine, by the time I'm getting dressed, the thin layer that's advertised as "essential fatty acids, necessary to smooth, repair and help heal skin" has already absorbed into my skin. I absolutely love that feature of this product, and I honestly think that it's what made this scrub stand out as exceptional. It's definitely one of the reasons that I came back and found it after 4 years. Overall, I absolutely love this product and I'll definitely keep buying it.

I love the smell of this! It's more moisturizing, than exfoliating. I'm used to the sugar scrubs without oil. This is nothing like that. It's pretty greasy actually, but your skin feels super soft after using it. I would be very cautious using this, because it makes the tub slippery. If you're prone to falls, I would just stay away from this product all together. I do love the cooling effect from the peppermint oil.

I like this scrub - other reviewers mentioned that it leaves a film behind, but I think it's more like a light layer of an oily finish. I actually like that - it almost feels like when you use coconut oil on your body. I have not found it difficult to wash off either. The product is very "fresh" and lemony - and you can clearly see (and smell) the mint leaves throughout. It looks exactly like lemonade-mint sorbets that I used to make. The container is big, which I don't care for because it takes up so much room on the bathtub ledge, and there is some decorative "dead space" in the walls of the container that contributes to that. It's not a huge deal. It's a nice product though.

My skin is never dry since I started using this. I find that using this in the shower has a much more lasting moisturizing effect than using a body moisturizer. I like the lemony scent, which might seem a little strong when you are in the shower, but dissipates quickly afterward. The sea salt has a slight exfoliating effect, but is not nearly as sandpapery as other sea salt scrubs I have tried. I also find it less oily. The label indicates the product is "USDA certified organic, 100% vegetarian ingredients, No animal testing," and contains no parabens or dyes.

I don't love this for a body scrub, because it leaves a "moisturizing," greasy-sticky film on the skin that is difficult to wash off, even the next day. Odd. I do, however, really like it for a hand scrub! It preps the skin and nails really nicely before a self-manicure. Most likely will not be purchasing again, but glad I am able to make it useful.

Thought I would try this because the salt scrub I LOVE is no longer available. I was hoping the lemon mint scent would be similar to the previous one as well. Not the case. The scent for this one is much sweeter, and not fresh and clean. The consistency is that of liquid soap that was left open, and is drying out. Similar to the slime my kids played with, just a little thicker. It leaves a waxy "soap scum" feel on your skin, not silky and smooth like other scrubs I've used. I am very disappointed that this is not a returnable item as I will not use it again. Waste of money.

I have dry skin and believe in the benefits of exfoliation daily, so I have tried practically every salt and sugar scrub on the market. After testing all different types, Giovanni Salt Scrub in Cool Mint Lemonade is my favorite...I even signed up for auto-delivery with Amazon! It has a grainy texture which is not too harsh or too mild and it also bathes your skin in a luxurious oil that soaks into your newly exfoliated skin to keep it extra moisturized. The best thing about this scrub is the amazing fragrance of the mint lemonade, when mixed with the steam from your shower, it is exhilirating and leaves the bathroom fragrant for a long time. I highly recommend this scrub and the Amazon auto-delivery of a two pack is a great deal!

蓋を開けた瞬間からレモングラスの香りがします。私は大好きですが、レモンの香りを想像していた方には「思ったより葉っぱの匂い？」となるかもしれません。 肌が非常に滑らかになり、お風呂を上がってからも潤っているのでとても気に入っています。 ただ、使用後はかなり涼しくなるため、冬には使えません。春先の涼しい夜にこれを使ったときは寒すぎて大慌てで服を着ました…。

優しくやっても少し痛い…使用後ソルトだからかスースーして今の時期はちょっと寒いかも…。リピはしません。

月に何回か気になった時に使用しています！ ひんやり感がこれからは辛いかなと思いますが、使用後のお肌のツルツル感はクセになります！
