I LOVE this book! It’s one of those books that’s perfect for sitting on your shelf to reference whenever necessary, but with all the information in every spread and the meticulous documentation of the evolution of each state’s plates, it would be well worth reading front to back. My only complaint is that we aren’t getting new editions every decade. I want to see so much more from this author!!

This book is a very detailed reference that pictures the individual year licence plates by state. In addition it has a list, by state, of the correct colors for the plates by year.There is some interesting historical information about auto registration requirements in each of the state sections.The book does not help with plate codes that identify types or weight of vehicles or, like Florida, county number designations.In general, a great reference if you are interested in license plate collecting.
