Good for balcony bird feeding
I live in Chicago and when the weather gets cold as it inevitably does, I have wanted to provide food for the local birds - mostly doves, pigeons, and sparrows but now and then robins and an occasional cardinal (always a delight to see). Problem is I live in a condo building - or multi-unit dwelling - and my neighbor below is a bit fastidious with his balcony. When I started a few years back, I was using some other feed and just spreading it on my balcony. I did not realize the birds would eat the seeds and spit out the seeds and leave quite a mess. This caused some loud yelling from below. After searching around, I found this product. It has been so much better. As another reviewed commented, there is no completely waste-free product but this is close. There is very little mess now and the birds start flocking to my balcony in the mornings now when they see me up and about. They really seem to like this food and it is gone in a very short period of time. I guess it is a bit pricey but if bird feeding is something you enjoy too, I think it is well worth it, especially if you live in the city with no yard and want to minimize any mess. I would recommend this bird see with no reservations.

Birds Love It!
The birds at my location love this bird food! It has attracted blue jays, wrens, robins, cardinals as well as a variety of colorful finches. It does not leave a mess on the ground at all and the few pieces that fall off the bird feeder end up being eaten by doves!I will continue to purchase this food. I love looking out in my backyard while doing the dishes and watching the birds come and go at the feeder! It’s very relaxing.

Birds ignored it in small feeder but ate it on flat table
Perhaps my birdfeeder is meant for smaller birds only because when I changed from my budget birdseed, which was being emptied quickly, to this, they stopped eating it entirely. I gave it nearly 2 weeks and the only interest was from a squirrel. I switched back to the budget seed mix, and instantly birds were there all day. I have a cardinal that visits the tree near the feeder, and I wanted him to visit the feeder, but neither him nor any other bird wanted it. I'm in Minneapolis. I poured the birdseed onto a squirrel-feed mini-table, and birds of all kinds came to eat it. The squirrels ate it too. Since I emptied the feeder onto the table, it was a half bag gone in a half day.

Birds love it!
I have bought hundreds of brands of bird seed and nothing compares to this brand, the birds simply love it! I wasn't sure at first because the company is clear across the country, I am in California but my California birds (and squirrels) just eat it all up, no waste at all.

Fabulous Fowl Food
I am truly impressed with the high quality of this bird feed. The backyard faunae are seemingly impressed as well... the grackles, the American goldfinches, the nuthatches, the chickadees, and more swoop into grab their favorite morsel from the variety of seeds including sunflower, safflower, and niger), as well as peanuts, and millet, and cracked corn. This is a change from their previous steady diet of sunflower seeds from me, and it appears that they are actually grateful for the variety. Even the animals below the feeder-the morning doves, squirrels, chipmunks, and turkeys seem pleased. And there is no extraneous debris -No twigs, rocks, shells or any other stuff. This is quality critter feed.

No sprouting under feeder
While this isn't no mess in terms of messy birds eating it, the main reason I bought it was to prevent the sprouting in my flower bed. This seed hasn't spouted anything. Birds (sparrows in particular) will pick through it and throw what they want to the ground, which the squirrels and chipmunks get. Your hopper needs to have big enough holes for peanuts to pass through. I have seen chipmunks, titmice, blue jays, cardinals, mourning doves, finches, sparrows, and woodpeckers all eating from the feeder with this seed in it. It's a little pricey, but seems worth it.
