is this suitable for outdoor use?

Totally. But because so many balls these days seem like they are made for autographs, the surface is pretty slippery, initially. After a few uses, it is much easier to handle.

where is this product manufactured?

Wilson products are manufactured in Chicago, Illinois

It's indeed 29.5 but I would suggest purchasing from sports authority.. They offer 1 year warranty for $5 and will replace for ANY reason. Yes even if you cause damaged from misuse.
