can I use a 2000 mah nimh battery?

Dear customer. Good late evening from Japan. This is Atsukiya and thank you for sending us your question about "Tamiya Fullcowl Mini 4WD Series No. 44 Beat Magnum Premium AR Chassis 19444…". I checked web site of Tamiya for the nimh battery. The mAh of NiMH battery recommended to use for their cars says Min. 950 mAh only. Then I also found following comment on web site which answering for someone who questioning why the Tamiya Neo Champ is NiMH battery even though they prohibited to use it for their car. This person also mentioned his motor got burned after few runs. "The reason why the use of nickel-metal hydride batteries was prohibited was that the capacity of the initial nickel-metal hydride batteries was large, and when the tires were locked, there was a risk of heat generation up to high frequencies. Tamiya's Neo Champ has a small capacity, so you can use it." From what I checked, the 2000mAh battery is too large for Tamiya cars and not recommended. Hope this answers to your question. Super nice, I love it!

I really want to say thank you to this shop. This is what I have been looking for since I was young. I collected many 4wds since I was 8 years old. This is definitely the best one and my favorite! Everything of Tamiya is super nice ! I absolutely love it! The motor came within the box works really well! It's worth waiting for the free standard shipment from Japan, where the 4wd was born originally.
