Very very fresh. That’s much appreciated. I ate these in Germany and Amsterdam. We really like these. Of course I am a huge licorice fan. To me European licorice is much better than American. To me these are not that salty more on the sweet side but not too sweet. I bought this huge bag so I could send some to our grandson who is at University. I need to stop eating them otherwise he won’t get this care package! Lol.

Authentically Dutch
I was born in the Netherlands so I am Dutch. I remember having these when I was a little girl and then we moved to the United States and I didn’t have them for many years. I found them again here on Amazon. I was not sure if they were the same ones but sure enough that same wonderful, delicious licorice and sugar combined. Excellent!

Taste Like Spice Drops
I was expecting a bit more salty taste, but these really just tasted like black spice drops. Not bad. The same type of gummy texture and a sugary coating. Nothing really unique tasting like their licorice coins.

Reminds me of the great tastes of treats from Holland that i grew up with.
My parents were Dutch and I was the first US born child. I recall this original Dutch licorice from growing up and relatives bringing some for us in the 60's and 70s. This product today tasted the same and much fresher in their texture. Very good
