I just bought this and already have used it on at least 15 different cars. Mostly Lexus models with both the plastic and metal housings, and some with the smaller metal filters like a 25 RX350 would use. So far, this wrench fits PERFECTLY on each one and doesn’t get stuck or slip. I’ve used the Toyota OEM and blue point filter wrenches however they kept getting stuck on the filters/housings. Very annoying when working on waiters. Only con I guess would be that the red middle part is already showing signs of cosmetic wear. But I don’t care about that, it’s a tool. Before I bought this one, I only had the cheaper filter wrenches with the design that grabs the teeth of the filter housings. DON’T USE THOSE!! I was struggling to get a housing off, that a company that rhymes with biffy tube worked on previously (breakaway torque was 140 ft/lb on a 18 ft/lb part), and I inevitably broke a tooth on the plastic housing causing a fat oil leak when engine running. This is why I highly recommend buying this filter wrench since it’s like half the price of the “proper stuff”, is less likely to break a over-torqued filter housing, and simply is awesome

Great quality and works perfectly! I’m very happy with this tool. The build quality is excellent, it feels strong and durable, and it worked perfectly for the job. It made removing the part much easier and saved me a lot of time. Definitely worth the money and I would recommend it to anyone who needs a reliable tool for automotive work.

Amazing wrench. This is my third oil filter wrench for my 2012 toyota Prius. The last one didn’t break but it didn’t have the grip to remove the filter. This one doesn’t need the tabs but the flutes? On top fit very snug on the filter housing. The top fits a 3/8 socket or a 24mm wrench. Fortunately I already had a 24mm box wrench which worked very well on the stubborn filter housing. This isn’t cheap but it does work and saves headache for DIY home mechanic.

Very nicely designed, feels weird to say it but, "feels premium". Probably overpriced, but it's a nice tool.

This fit great to remove the oil filter cover when I changed the oil and filter on my 2017 Toyota Highlander, v6. This is a solid tool, and I had no issues using it as noted above. A good tool to add to your toolbox if you need it for your vehicle. The packaging was well done and provides a sense of quality in this company even before I used the tool.

These filter wrenches from motivx are great... Great for limited space and extremely well made... I change my own oil for 45 years so far and I love these... They are more expensive than the cheap stuff but there's a reason and these are worth every penny... If they make a wrench for a filter I own I buy one of these filter wrenches.... These should last a lifetime and if you change oil a lot either professionally or just for yourself you know an oil filter wrench is either good or it goes in the garbage can... I can't see how you would be disappointed with this brand of filter wrenches just make sure the size is correct for your needs...

Works great and so far, it seems well made and durable. Used it multiple times on 2014 Corolla and 2021 Highlander. Fits tight and makes removal easy. Always use a socket on this and not the insert hole to remove filters.

Superb product. I have a 2015 Toyota RAV4. The dealer overtightened my plastic oil filter housing cartridge, making it impossible to get out with the cheaper $12 dollar cast aluminum filter wrench I had (bought it from Canadian Tire), I tried twice, and the cheaper tool just couldn't GRIP the oil filter housing, it kept slipping. The problem was the tool wall is too shallow. I needed a filter wrench that had a taller wall, and found a few tools on Amazon. I decided to go with the MotivX wrench despite it being twice the cost of option 2. Because of 3 factors: 1) the tall wall, 2) reviews, and 3) I did not want to waste money on another useless tool and was willing to spend the extra to get the right tool, that would likely be used for many years to come. It worked. The fit was snug, the deep wall gripped the filter housing like nothing else could. No slip, took a few hard taps and boom the filter housing came apart. I highly recommend using the 24mm socket, the torque you can put on that is much greater than the 3/8 drive hole. Gents, $50 CAD isn't going to break the bank, but if you round off the filter housing, that's going to be a nightmare trip to Toyota that would end in you paying them $300-400 to fix it.
