Bright, Vibrant, and Durable
I was interested in learning poi spinning, and bought these as my first pair. While they are not cheap, especially for someone who may not be sure whether they'd even enjoy poi spinning, I can attest that the quality of these LED poi are top notch and well worth the investment. The lights are super bright and the number of modes available on top of the customization of each mode is astounding. As a beginner, I've inadvertently caused my poi to collide with each other (and myself) many times, but they hold up really well despite my inexperience. Best of all, because the pods are made of a soft silicone, it doesn't hurt when the poi hit me! I will say, I bought these without knowing all of the ins and outs of poi spinning and I learned a few things as a result of this being my first pair. Namely, the tethers on the poi tend to chafe against your fingers and/or knuckles depending on how you grip the poi, which can lead to blistering and a lot of pain for the first week or two of spinning. As such, a beginner may want to start with sock poi as they are less expensive and will not cause chafing like the podpoi and most other tethers. With that said, my hands built up callouses after the first week or two of spinning, and since then I haven't dealt with any blistering on my hands. All in all, well worth the purchase! If you're a beginner like me, I'd still recommend getting some sock poi first (or make your own for a few bucks with knee-length socks and balloons filled with rice!) to see if you enjoy poi spinning, and then look into getting some Podpoi later on if you decide you want to continue spinning.

Great quality product.
I Started off spending a cheaper pair of poi but decided to upgrade after a year of spinning. My cheaper pair broke after a number of collisions. So I decided to get pod poi. These are great poi. They are well-balanced with most of the weight at the very end of the poi. The knob handles make them very easy to spin for long periods of time without the strain irritating your fingers. These poi have the most vibrant bright colors of any that I have used. If your brand new to poi you should probably buy something cheaper try it out see if you like it before investing this kind of money. It would be good to remember though if you do like it the cheap pair of poi that you buy will very quickly become something you want to upgrade once you see somebody spinning pod poi. If you’re interested in becoming a serious spinner and want to own the best quality poi on the market these are for you. The patterns are super customizable. There are very bright patterns and very dim patterns for when you don’t want to stand out too much. Glad I purchased these hopping to buy a set of crystal poi soon. I really enjoy my flowtoys. The battery lasts a long time and they are very durable.

Fantastic set of poi!
These poi are really fantastic and very high quality! The lighting options are really fun, and it is evident that the developers made them with flowmies in mind. I'm still not very good at them yet, but hope to practice them before Lost Lands comes so I can take them there to the festival. They've survived being in suitcases and being in a house with a dog. They do attract some dog fur, but it is really easy to wipe them off. Would recommend these to anyone looking for a set of really good poi. They're also very soft and will not hurt you if you accidentally smack yourself or other people with them. They won't break if you smack them or drop them against the floor.

Amazing!!!
I’m a beginner poi flowie and my $17 set was not doing it for me, so I upgraded to this and no regrets! I love all the different color modes. Some of the modes change colors when you stall. They are super bright, come in a nice carrier bag, and overall very good quality. The only thing I’m a bit concerned about is adjusting the length. You have to reknot the ropes and put the capsules over the knot. They also have a decent weight so get ready for an arm workout. However, they’re much easier to use and learn than my previous set. I can’t wait to use these everyday!

Great battery life, Really Durable Would buy again
This was my first set of real poi. They use a USB B charger. Easy to take apart for cleaning. The battery lasts 10ish hours? I usually get 4 sessions out of one charge. They can take a beating. I drop and toss these things A LOT! they haven't broken. This set has been very good for this beginner! The ropes are soft and durable no fraying or breaking. Light weight, bright LED, lots of settings. Easy to use. They are perfect starter set and worth the money. I am buying another set as a gift Yes would buy again and again

Make sure you buy them with knobs instead of loops
Pods are fantastic. They're affordable, bright, the charge lasts forever, and soft enough that they don't hurt too much when you hit yourself. Not to mention a lifetime warranty, which I don't think I'll ever have to use because they seem indestructible. The only thing to note is, if you have the choice, get them with knobs (poms, nips, px3s or something like that) instead of loops. Loops are okay for complete beginners but you'll grow out of them before you even reach intermediate level. Knobs allow much more freedom to change grips, toss, contact roll, and switch to two in one hand. With loops you're pretty much stuck to the basic spinning. If you can't get them with knobs for some reason, just buy knobs from elsewhere and cut the loops off and switch them out when you receive them. If the Flowtoys guys end up reading this review, my two biggest design improvement ideas would be to 1) put the charging port at the top end so it's easier to access and 2) make them spherical instead of teardrop shaped so we can do contact!

Best LED poi available
I love these poi - I bring them everywhere. The LEDs are bright and vivid, to the point that when the power goes out, they're the first thing I reach for for lighting. They come preprogrammed with a wide selection of modes, including a fading rainbow pattern, a flame emulation, and even an american flag pattern. They've survived being tossed into stuffed backpacks, being sat on, and even being spun in pouring rain. The battery lasts for a very long time, and they stay charged when not in use for a long time as well - I've left them unused for months and they still have full battery when I use them again. My only criticisms: 1) They are hefty. My fingers can get tired after spinning them for a while, and the cord can also leave blisters if not gripped correctly. Many of my friends with podpoi have NOT had this issue, so YMMV. 2) It can be difficult to plug them in when charging. You have to maneuver the cable through the openings on the side, and rotate the electronics until you can access the USB port. The very long battery life helps alleviate this problem. 3) The clip that holds the strap at a certain length slips over time. Over 15 minutes of spinning, the strap can slip from the shortest setting to the longest. I've seem some people solve this issue by tying a knot over the clip. My overall opinion is that these are the best LED poi on the market right now. I recommend them to friends frequently, and have bought a pair as a gift for my girlfriend.

Possibly Best LED Poi Option Out there
These are pretty great. The weight is nice, flowcord is always great, but the design is really what makes these so good I think. I love that the cord goes directly into the poi. The lighting/modes are great and they're rechargeable, so guilt-free night spinning. The pear-shaped design makes spinning feel really natural, and if you smash yourself in the nose, it won't hurt (much). I have another pair of LED poi that were purchased on a whim at a retail store in NYC that were about $60 and they're collecting dust since I got these. I've never gotten anything from the folks at flowtoys.com that I wasn't thrilled with. Pros: Great, stretchy flowcord. Beautiful soft, bright light Rechargeable with included cables (or any micro USB!) Accelerometer so no obnoxious strobing when they're just chillin there Flexible, durable silicone shell Perfectly streamlined design with tons of awesome videos on flowtoys.com with info on how to adjust, fix, tweak, etc You can change out parts (metal rings, cord, handles, etc) through flowtoys.com which allows the poi to be totally modular Best option in the price point hands down Cons: Obviously not intended for contact poi Hard to do much in the way of tossing, though one could get a couple of px3 knobs and work it that way pretty easily Patterns are going to be crazy fancy or programmed with words and patterns or anything. You'll have to shell out like $500 for something like that and the design won't be half as good from a poi spinning perspective Overall, love these. Best poi purchase.

Delightful illuminated colour changing poi
I love these poi, they are beautifully weighted, comfortable to hold, and the cord or tether is really good quality. They look great lit up and are really bright. They do not hurt you if you accidentally hit your head as they have a soft flexible cover. The amount of time per charge is fantastic. I was hesitant about paying the price, but am so pleased with them, I have a feeling they will last for years. I have had hous of spinning fun with these, and once I had them was motivated to learn so many new moves, they rekindled my poi passion!

Excellent experiance
The poi came fast, exactly in the condition promised and fully charged. I bought these as a gift for someone else and they have since bragged about their awesome gift. I was a bit concerned with buying from the internet (not something I do often because I am usually disappointed by the product and delivery times) but Amazon delivered everything promised.

Podpoi are amazing...
Amazing product! They don’t arrive as pictured, the handles are actually another set of podpoi in a hard case. Personally I found them very heavy for playing with, but they do look cool. I’m yet to play around with the programming properly, but the co-ordinated lights work brilliantly!
