Helix Oxford Camo Basic Calculator - Green

My son got detention for not having a calculator in his school bag. Can you believe that nonsense? In my day we got in trouble if we had one...Anyway, we needed a school calculator that did the job, was cheap and could get here next day. This fitted the bill perfectly. It works, it's cheap and it got here fast. Can't ask for more than that. Easy 5 stars.Oh, and for what it's worth, turns out the school had his calculator all along. He left it somewhere and it took them 3 months to return it to him. Now he actually prefers this Helix calculator to his old Casio one. So that's quite handy...

Thankfully this was only a temporary calculator because the required model wasn't going to arrive in time......It's totally dependent on batteries (not solar) which is never a good idea for something essential to exams, it is cheap, it feels cheap and the battery cover is not flush with the calculator back, it sticks out. Sounds really daft but i hate things that aren't made 100% correctly. It works fine at the moment so it will do as a spare, but I wouldn't choose this as the main calculator.

A Great Price, this is a smaller basic calculator, but the LCD display is large enough for me to read without reading glasses! I bought bright pink so that I wouldn't be able to lose it easily in a busy office, and so far so good. You can change the battery, all in all it's a nice little calculator.

There was a weird fault with our calculator with the battery connections and the calculator kept turning off. And then when the batteries were finally manoeuvred into the right position using bits of cardboard the calculator wouldn't turn off at all! Very frustrating. Serves me right for buying a cheap one I guess. But I certainly won't be buying this brand again.

Perfect, budget calculator to do the basics, helping me with A-Level Business and Economics, it does the job, you don't need a big/expensive calculator for subjects other than Maths, Science and this does the trick for me.

Bought as a stocking filler for Christmas. Shouldn't have bothered. Half the buttons didn't work, so useless as a calculator. Is now in the bin. I would have given it no stars if possible. Rubbish - don't buy it.

It’s a little annoying, you have to press quite firmly for the number to actually register. It’s cheap- only got it for my exams but after that, I’ll probably throw it away.

I know this was a cheap calculator but it really is useless, the buttons are hit and miss, sometimes the number appears on the display and sometimes it doesn't. I should have known better really, you get what you pay for.
