China Glaze Nail Polish, Creative Fantasy 1201

I'm grateful to find what, in my experience on this purchase, is a reliable seller when it comes to "vintage" product (see below regarding this company's rebrand). I received a well-packaged, intact, unused product that despite being the "old" version, one would never know because it has clearly been stored properly. With respect to the product itself: China Glaze has rebranded - you can see on the new bottles it features a large CG only vs. a small one + the name as with this one. I intentionally wanted the "old" version because I've seen swatches of the "new" Too Yacht To Handle, and it dries down to a noticeably different color. (Though not neon, I'll give them that - finding a turquoise that isn't dayglo or so light it goes blue or dark it goes green is more of a hunt than it should be.) As I was aiming for a slightly darker tone of Tiffany Blue and remembered this being an option for such, the seeming reformulation was disappointing. I can't speak to the "new" CG's performance, but can attest to "old" CG in terms of coverage, pigmentation, and overall quality. Having said that, you personally may find it thin if you prefer viscous nail polish to cut down on coats. For me, while CG is indeed slightly less viscous that other polishes, I believe thick is worse, and I'd rather have more control and do an extra coat vs. it being gloppy and taking much longer to dry. To each their own!

This is my second selection by China Glaze. I have been very p!eased with the product and color choices. This color had pink and beige tones

I REALLY am happy that I did some reading of nail polish reviews! I LOVE China Glaze Products! I purchased the China Glaze adhesion base coat and the fast forward top coat, along with several of their colors. I could not be happier!! Their Nail Lacquer with Hardeners is awesome! If you use the base and top coats with their colors and follow the recommendations, China Glaze products DO NOT CHIP! They are also very quick drying. The products are not thick or stringy. The brush is wide and the polish goes on smoothly! The Temptation Carnation color is a light rose gold color. It is subtle, but very pretty. The Pearl Jammin color is a more bluish white color - also subtle. I put several colors on one hand. The Temptation Carnation is on my little finger, the Pearl Jammin is on my pointer finger and the Iridescent is on my ring. The results actually look much better than the closeup photo makes them look… The ONLY con I have found is that the polish top/brush is very short and kind of hard to hold on to. But it’s not enough of a con for me to review any less than 5 stars!!

For the past 21 years, I have had my nails done at the salon. Started with Acrylic then the last year I switched to Gel, and then doing the Gel at home by myself. Almost 2 years ago, I took it all off and am just letting my natural nails heal and grow. I finally have long nails again and wanted to start painting them. Amazon has everything, so why not shop nail polish?! I've used China Glaze before and have never had any issues with it. Until now. And it's not a huge issue, but for me, it's an issue. I bought this purple "Creative Fantasy" because I love purple. And this looked <in the descriptions' photo> exactly like the color of my Dodge Charger, so I had to get it! I wasn't sure if it was going to be a Matte or Shiny, because of the photo. I got my polish yesterday and today I did my nails. I took photos so you could see what the polish looks like after each layer. So here goes...before I start, I have to say it was hard taking photos that showed what it truly looked like. You can see it's super thin, and kind of matte looking. The next 2 photos show the 2nd layer of polish on both hands. Still hard to show how matte it really is...it's not a "true" matte - it just looks like there's a "film" on the polish....it's definitely not clear and shiny. Next 2 photos are with 3 layers. Yes, I had to apply 3 layers so there weren't any lines in my polish...see-through lines. This polish is not consistent. The next 2 photos show a clear glossy top coat. You can also see that I peeled off the skin barrier <in a little pink blob at the top of the photo. I took all of these photos inside, in my living room, with normal lighting. You can see how dark the polish looks. Not what I was looking for, but it's still a pretty, dark purple. I went outside in the sun, and took 2 more photos so you can see what it looks like outside. Those are the last 2 photos - you can see this is a VIVID purple. So, I had to apply a base coat, 3 layers of Creative Fantasy purple, and a clear glossy top coat. It took forever!!! I took 1 star away because it shouldn't be this hard to get the color of nail polish you thought you were getting...and it shouldn't take so long! Also, the fact that this is not a glossy nail polish...I'd say "Semi Gloss" at best. I don't like Matte nail polish...I don't know why - I just don't. I can't say if this chips, or how well or how long this will "wear" because I just applied it today <October 16>. But I will come back and update in a week or two...with photos. I will keep this because it is a pretty purple, but I will give "We Got The Beat" a try as that says "long lasting shine" so I know that's a gloss polish...and maybe another color or 2.

Great nail polish for the money! I’ve paid a lot more money for nail polish that hasn’t looked this good and love the appearance! I would buy every color they offer! Very easy to apply!

This is 2 orange knockout I ordered from a different seller in a week as color from 1st seller more of a tangerine color and very very watery. This seller has the correct one like the nail salon very thick and super neon orange. See pictures. Right polish 1st order super watery thin not neon. Left is 2nd order. Nice thick neon orange. Note both bottles show same numbers and name on labels even barcode but dedinately not same color or consistencies. I also shook the bottles at same time for a minute and lay them on their side then took pic immediately. As u can see big bubble on right side which depicts just how watery it is. Left polish 2nd order no bubble as much thicker. Also applied 2 coats only as normal to test color on left polish but had to apply 4 coats which is unheard off on right side polish to achieve a semi vibrant color. This fresh bright aqua/mint green is my favorite trendy, summery, bright color. It is a cheer-inspiring "pop" that can be worn with almost anything. Unable to find anything even close in any of the usual drugstore brands, I checked online. After doing some research comparing other brands carrying a similar color, I decided to go ahead and get this one based on the high ratings and lower price. Being supposedly salon quality, and being a bit of a splurge, I had high hopes. (Oddly, this particular color is more expensive here than other colors of the China Glaze summer 2014 "Sunsational" collection, such as "That's Shore Bright," but it's still cheaper on Amazon than at Ulta or Sally's.) I'm very happy with the color. It's exactly what I wanted. However, I'm very disappointed in the lacquer itself. As others here have commented, it is thin and leaves streaks even with three coats. No matter what I did, I had to apply four thick coats just to get even coverage. At least it dries quickly and is never tacky, so I could keep putting on the coats without waiting any length of time between them. Worse than the coverage, however, was how quickly it began to crack and chip off! I hastily applied a top coat, but that only prolonged the wear for the rest of the afternoon. I decided to try using a base and top coat next time. Not much better. Even over a base coat, three coats still looks streaky. And while it's not cracking yet, it's still starting to flake off around the tips after only having it on a few hours (and I've been easy on it)! While I still adore this color and will keep wearing it (for however many hours I can at a time), I wish I had bought another brand (like NYX or Essie, which have very similar colors), or waited until some cheaper drugstore brand comes out with it. That way, I'd expect it to be cheap for what I'd pay for it. I was not expecting this from of a supposedly salon-quality line! As excited as I was to get this new color, I'm very disappointed with this product.

La couleur est translucide et il faut un nombre incalculable de couche pour avoir une couleur assez convenable. Il ne tient pas non plus très longtemps... Bref ce n'est pas un bon achat.

Looks bright pink in the picture when it arrived it was orange with a Matt finish so have to use a topcoat

Was soll ich sagen..... Die Farbe ist der absolute Hammer (Wenn man auf Neon steht)!!! Hält ewig.... Deckt gut.... Trocknet innerhalb von Sekunden.... Und lässt sich super wieder entfernen. Ich finde ihn mit Überlack noch schöner weil er sonst sehr matt ist. Super schnelle Lieferung. Alles top! Immer wieder gerne!

The pigment is not a good quality one & removal was not clean like the usual China Glaze nail polish. I fear it’s not a genuine product.

This is a new varnish to me but I was pleased with the colour the staying power three days and only one little chip could have lasted longer but I really tested its durability out washed up without gloves gardened without gloves and cleaned ect. very impressed would buy again.
