The 'arm' or 'flexible portion' is about 17 inches. The small clamp is about 3 inches and the larger clamp is about 4-1/2 inches

What is the maximum length when fully extended ?

The overall length of the Plamp II is 23 inches (58.5 cm). If you need an even longer reach, you can extend the Plamp's length with Wimberley's 12" Plamp II Extension (PP-222). The PP-222 is available from the manufacturer (Wimberley) and their authorized retailers.-Wimberley Support Team

does this come with the Plamp II?

No. The product includes a ground stake with an articulating arm that has the Plamp II clip on the end. So, unless you need 2 articulating arms with clips, you do not need a Plamp II in addition to the Ground Plamp.

To what level would the Plamp be heat resistant? Would it be okay under a heat lamp (250w brooder lamp for chicken coops)?

The maximum operating temperature for the Plamp articulating segments is 170F. The large clamp and smaller clip should not exceed that temperature either. The product's usability in association with a heat lamp will be dictated by the distance separating the two.
