Hydrating Face Moisturizer & Body Cream with Manuka Honey Cream - Organic Face Moisturizer with Honey for Extremely Dry Skin - for Dry & Itchy Skin, Rosacea & Eczema Prone Skin 2oz

This is by far the best moisturizer for my eczema. It is light weight and fast absorbing. So many of the different moisturizers I have tried leave a greasy feel or residue that irritates my skin even worse. My only complaint is that it does not smell very good. This is unscented which is good but I wish it had a better smell perhaps a very light essential oil might make it more tolerable.

I had a little boy 15 months ago and had literally had MAYBE 7 nights of a good sleep during the entire 15 months because he suffered horribly from eczema and would wake up multiple times at night itching and upset. I have tried nearly everything (from plain coconut oil to (gasp) hydrocortisone for the itching at the recommendation of his pediatrician (I tried it once and couldn't bring myself to put it on him again because I try REALLY hard to do things naturally). I eliminated things from his diet, I added bone broths and gut healing foods, and it improved slightly but his skin still looked awful with raised red patches from the neck down. My husband found this and ordered it and I did not expect anything different from the other 5 creams I have sitting on the dresser right now. I am FLOORED at the results of this cream. In less than 24 hours, the raised rash went away. There is still redness, but his skin is baby soft on his arms like it should be, not scaly. His legs and feet had the worst of it, but even they have significantly improved and it is completely gone from his toes. It has now been 3 days and he has slept through the night all three days. I was in tears the morning after the first night because I had not slept in MONTHS. I don't know if it will work for someone else, but it is worth a shot. I will update if anything changes and will try and get photos of the improvements. Update: We are on our second jar of this stuff and his eczema is completely cleared up except for a few bumps every now and then when he has a new reaction to something, but NOTHING like it ever had been. His chest and back are baby smooth and completely cleared with no reactions. I also give him a complete omega and honey and bee pollen every day, so that may be helping as well. But this cream goes on morning and night and he loves it. First three photos are what it had been, last two photos are after shots of his foot and belly area cleared up.

I waited almost two months after receiving this product to write this review because I was so on the fence about it and almost returned it twice, in fact. However, in the end, I have come to conclude this moisturizer is EXCELLENT and I will repurchase it. The pros and cons are discussed below: 1. The worst thing about this product is its ability to "play well with others". This moisturizer has a bit of an odd texture to it that I have now learned to love but did not at first. It is a little waxy almost. Because of this texture and the reason for my almost returning it twice was an inability to use it without horrible pilling. It was a lot of trial and error for me to figure out how to use it if I wanted to have anything else on my face. If you wear it alone sans makeup, serums, or anything else - you will have no problem. Likewise if you are using it as a body lotion without additional layers of products, you will love it. 2. Because of this issue, I use this moisturizer on my face only at night. I cannot wear it in the morning and wear makeup (and I do not wear foundation, only concealer and an application of pressed powder) or apply my Vitamin C, eye cream and peptide, sunscreen. IT DOES NOT WORK, no matter how long I wait between applying products. I end up with pilling and an unsmooth look so I use a moisturizer with mineral sunscreen in the morning and opt for this at night. 4. Applied at night after cleansing, toning, retinol this product is amazing. it sort of seals the moisture into your face, leaves it soft and smooth and no oiliness - not even when you wake up in the morning. 5. I have mild rosacea and battle some redness in my cheeks and I noticed a huge difference in 2-3 days after consistent use of this product (hence my reluctance on returning it and determination to make this product work for me!). 6. I seem to be alone on this, but I like the smell! 7. I bought the 2oz jar and it has lasted two months and I estimate I have about 2 weeks more of the product left. 8. This is the only "lotion" I let my 8 and 9 year old kids use. It is gentle and does not have fragrance and alcohols and dyes that are stuffed in to all other lotions. 9. My final comment is that this product is truly unique in its absorption and texture. Don't expect it to be like other moisturizers. Don't be too quick to return it, give it some time (I definitely had to) and you will be a convert. I do recommend this moisturizer but I give it four stars because of the problems I noted above. I am going to continue using it and purchase a larger size and start using it on my body as well. Hope this is helpful!

If it had not happened to me I would not have believed it. We use honey for all kinds of things around the house. My dad was recently in a bad accident and had some severe burns on his legs, not quite third, but pretty severe, skin bubbling, cracking, turning black. When he went to the wound clinic I went to hold his hand, knowing that debriding is excruciating. The doctor came in, cleaned his wounds and wrapped them in manuka honey bandages. I looked surprised, I said, that's it? He said research shows this to be more effective than previous forms of treatments. We start with this, if it doesn't work, we try something else, I am confident it will work. My dad's original prognosis was two months to heal - as stated at the hospital and later his doctor's office. Two weeks later, after the honey wraps being changed every other day, my dad's skin has almost entirely healed. These burns were from his ankles up his shins and around his calves. He is still wearing wraps and compression socks, but his skin is recovering quickly. So, I am well endowed in the chest, most large chested women will tell you summer is brutal, sweat and heat rash underneath their chest, right on the bra line, it is painful. This summer I have had the worst heat rash under my bra line that I have ever had. I have used diaper rash creams, cornstarch during the sweaty times, I have worn pads under there, and even when the pain got too bad - this is so embarrassing - I tucked socks under each for relief from my bra strap. After watching my dad heal, I decided to try this cream. I already made a gentle soap of raw honey and milk to clean the area. The very first day I put it on there was significant improvement, the second application in the afternoon I was able to remove my socks. By the evening, the skin was pink, a far cry from the bright raw red of the morning. It does not hurt to apply it, there is nothing burning or painful about the cream, the scent is non existant (which is what I prefer). I absolutely could not believe the change. I am grateful I tried it, and have now decided to try it on a few scarred areas of my skin on my shoulder and on my face. In one day I found relief, so, I am a fan.

I bought this because it supposedly had manuka honey but when it arrived and I was able to read the ingredients I saw that manuka honey was pretty much the last ingredient. If there is just a drop of an ingredient in a product the company can legally say the ingredient is in there and I believe this is the case here. I'm disappointed and actually annoyed with myself for buying it. It does soothe my rosacea a little but more manuka honey would be of much greater help.

Manuka Organics has created the finest moisturizer I have ever had the pleasure to use. I first purchased the 4oz container of Honeyskin Organics Aloe Vera + Manuka Honey in December of 2016 and I recently purchased my second container. The first one would have lasted longer had I used it only on my face and neck but I used it as a body lotion too so it was gone pretty quickly. As someone who has lived as long as I have and tried as many skin care products, I have learned that value is not equal to purchase price. Some of the best items I have were purchased at the dollar store! On the spectrum of cost, Honeyskin is certainly not indicative of it's value, no not at all! I have purchased moisturizers that cost in excess of $100,00 that can not compare to Honeyskin. HS is not oily, it absorbs quickly but if you use too much (which I am tempted to do) it will leave a tiny white residue, so it is best to start with less. When I first put my hands in it felt like a very rich whipped creme. I wanted to fill the tub with it and soak in it. It is impossible to accurately describe the delicious texture of this amazing creme. HS has quite a recipe of nourishing products including Manuka Oil. Some folks seemed to believe that there was not enough Manuka Oil in the product to justify either the name or the price. Over the years I have found that too much salt, sugar, garlic or whatever ingredient spoils the recipe. If I feel my skin needs a little healing I dab a bit of Manuka essential oils on my hand and apply it first. I have only done it once, it is just not needed. More is less with HS. My skin care regime is very simple but is has never failed me, I have never used anything but a warm washcloth to clean my face, and I use Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar (with the mother) as a toner. I also use the ACV as a toner on my body and hair before I get out of the shower. The odor dissipates quickly. ACV seems to stimulate hair growth and it has an antiseptic quality which is wonderful for those who tend to get folliculitis. ACV has nearly the same ph of the body so it is not harmful to the skin. ACV has many medicinal qualities, and is useful for a myriad of other things as well, so do not fear using it. After I wash my face, I apply the ACV and when it dries I apply a little bit of Hyaluronic Acid gel which absorbs quickly and then I apply HS. I deliberately waited to write a review until I had used a full 4 oz container of HS despite the pleas from the manufacturer for a quick review because I have learned that impressions change over a period of time and then I feel as though I have been dishonest and need to update my original review. Now I am perfectly comfortable to say that HS is an uncommon value as well as an uncommon moisturizer. However, one must consider that although we are the same (human) we are not the same because our genetic ladder determines our characteristics. So if you have acne I have no idea how this creme will affect you. The ACV would be good though. I use Braggs with the mother and Amazon has it. By the way, in case you are wondering - the "mother" consists of a white cloudy substance that are protein chains and they are not harmful at all. I can not in good conscience list a bunch of miraculous things that HS has done for me, other than keeping my skin moisturized and healthy. I was blessed with a beautiful complexion and was rarely troubled with pimples ( don't you just hate that word). I am a senior, senior citizen with few complaints about my skin. One thing I do have is Angular Cheilitis which is terrible!! It sounds fairly benign but it causes the corners of the mouth to bleed, the skin around my mouth gets dry and flaky and the skin in the affected area takes on a grayish cast which can not be covered by make up. My lips get dry and chapped and peel everyday until they bleed and cracks appear from the lips into the skin. It drives me nuts! Nothing the Dr gave me seemed to help, but eventually I discovered Vitamin C in large doses does heal it. Right now I take about 3,000 MGs daily to keep it under control and I use one of the battery powered skin care systems once a month or so to exfoliate my skin to maintain it's luster and I use a very mild exfoliating gel. Occasionally I use some combination of essential oils as the exfoliator and my skin loves it. (Please do not buy the expensive skin care brushes, unless you have lots of money). A final thing is that I have never smoked. Tobacco is lethal to beautiful skin so don't start using it or if you have, try to quit. So there you have it folks, I hope you find this review to be useful and should you purchase HS, it is a wonderful product, and I am surprised it does not cost far more than than the purchase price. It is made of all kinds of good things that provides nourishment and moisture without leaving a greasy residue, and your face will reward you many times over. Seriously, this is good stuff! The manufacturer of HS is eager to provide information on the uses of HS and answer the questions of consumers, because they want us to have a good experience with it. The product was shipped by the manufacturer, yet it arrived on or near the expected date, packaged appropriately, and the product is yummy! You know I thought they should have named it something different than Honeyskin because that makes me think of sticky stuff and ants approaching. Think I could talk them into naming it Yummyskin? Update 8/25/17: I have been using this amazing cream for eight months now. In my earlier review I mentioned that I had Angular Chellitis (AC) but I thought vitamin C I take was responsible for the improvement in the AC. I shared my last order of Honeyskin with my sister and I ran out more quickly than I thought I would. About a week after being without it I noticed that the cracks, peeling, gray looking skin, and general appearance around my mouth and chin had returned. I realize now that the Honeyskin plays a vital role in keeping the AC under control so today I am ordering the 8oz size cream. I am also pleased to share with you that my sister believes that this cream is the best she has ever used. Honeyskin is a wonderfully affordable moisturizer and combined with it's healing attributes it is an amazing bargain. NJoy~*~

This product got great reviews, which is one reason I bought it, along with the natural ingredients that I normally use. You just never know, however, as we each might different experiences. I am very happy to report that my experience is a very good one. I have been using Honeyskin for several weeks now. This emollient cream is just what I was hoping and searching for a long long time. Only in the last few years have I started using oils and or creams on my face. My skin was slightly oily most of my life and I had to be careful about anything I put on my skin, including cosmetics, so my pores would not become clogged. I was lucky to have good skin, so besides a bit of blush, I didn't put anything else on my skin, except for right around my eyes only. Now that my skin is aging I have tried a variety of products. Since I am careful of what I put into my body, I also am careful about what I put on my skin. So I have been using Organic coconut oil and Argan Oil. I also tried making my own concoctions by adding Vitamin A & C & E oils. All these oils left a greasy residue on my skin, and also, on my silk pillowcases. Since I don't believe in over washing my skin, I leave my moisturizers on overnight. That is probably why people often think I am 20 years younger than I am. I don't use products that strip my skin of moisture. However, another problem I was having the last year or two, was that areas at both the sides and underneath of my nose had a redness around it. That was something I never had before. It looked sort of like what is described as rosacea. That was odd, because I have slightly olive skin, and not the fair complexion of people who normally get that condition. No matter what I tried, the redness would not go away. I didn't go to a dermatologist, because when doctors are not sure of your condition, they generally just give you a prescription to take. I avoid medications also, especially when the doctors are not sure what is causing the problem. The surprise with Honeyskin is that, in the first two weeks of using this delicate and light cream, the frustrating red areas slowly and completely faded away. I have now an even skin tone again. Honeyskin gives my aging skin a very youthful and natural glow, and, it is non greasy. My silk pillowcases don't have oil stains on them anymore. I love this cream. My only hope is that Honeyskin will be made for years to come, and, without compromising the product in any way by substitution of any lesser quality ingredients. Keep up the good work Honeyskin!

Update 2021-- I believe I wrote the original below review back in 2016 when I first discovered this facial cream. I have been using it religiously with great success until recently when I bought a new container of it. I immediately noticed it had a slight smell to it despite saying 'no fragrance.' It is hard to place the odor but I believe it is due to one of the 'new' ingredients. I have sensitive skin so any type of fragrance does not work well with my skin type. I then noticed it did not seem to work as well for my rosacea, instead it seems to aggravate it. I finally compared the ingredients on the new container to my old container to discover the formula/ingredients have changed. I feared this would happen eventually because companies cannot seem to leave a good product alone. Due to this, I cannot use this product anymore and now I am trying to find another product that does not irritate my skin so I am dropping the star review to one. ------------------------------------------------------------ I have mature, sensitive skin and recently began having problems with rosacea. I was desperate and began looking for moisturizers that would help. I was skeptical about this cream but I liked the fact it had Manuka Honey. Most skin creams cause irritation with my skin. I was pleasantly surprised that I have no sensitivity issues with this cream. I can layer it on thick and it doesn't clog my pores. Matter of fact, I wasn't expecting it to fix my adult acne issues! If I start to get a break-out, I put the cream on and it immediately goes away! It is amazing! I am not sure if it is the Manuka honey since Manuka honey is antibiotic or the Saccharomyces or a combination. Either way, it works and I am sold! I occasionally will swap with a Vit E cream, but then I always start to get break-outs and I'm back to using the Honeyskin cream again. This is pretty much the only skin cream I will use now. As to my rosacea, it is under control. I can't say it is completely gone but it is nowhere as inflamed as it was; it has tamed the redness so nobody can tell. Even if the rosacea flares up, the cream will immediately soothe my skin. I will continue using and buying this cream since I think it is a fantastic product! I hope the formula is never changed!

Die Creme eignet sich gut bei Ekzemen und entzündeter Haut. Ich habe sie auch schon weiter empfohlen. Derjenige hatte eine allergische Reaktion, und hat damit ebenfalls alles gut in den Griff bekommen. Die beste Creme, die ist jemals hatte - werde sie noch etwas weiterbenutzen, bis alles weg ist. Man braucht schon einen Cremetiegel, dann verschwindet alles, was man an roten Stellen hat. Der Honig hat eine außergewöhnlich effektive und sehr gute Wirkung auf entzündete Haut... Kaufempfehlung...

Have used everything on a skin issue, came across this by accident on Amazon and figured I'd take a chance. Within minutes of first application, slight itchiness on the area I tested, which scared me. But it was just this cream doing its thing, because it went away and within hours of that first application, the redness, cracks, and other lovely eczema-related symptoms were much ameliorated. Second use at nighttime resulted in amazing improvement by morning. After several days, still improving, still amazed, and still get the slight itch in the first minutes after applying. If this heals the issue completely, wow. If it even prevents scarring as it seems it might, yeah, blown away. It's a fairly neutral smelling, plain, white cream which rubs in quickly and with no residue. I do wonder how they achieved that given all the ingredients. No stickiness of honey or slickness of any of the oily ingredients. Hasn't harmed clothes so far. Totally worth buying and I believe I'll use it instead of regular facial moisturizers, etc. July 3, 2019 update: applying daily several times to the same problem area. It certainly helps *manage* skin problems. Not a cure for me, sadly. It still causes initial itching. Ended up buying a larger container because it is helpful. Somehow the smell is harder to take from the larger one. :) Ended up adding essential oils to each application, to help with the skin stuff and just to improve the scent.

My husband has been using this on his psoriasis and it seems to be helping reduce the redness and itching.

..wir mussten uns erst anfreunden..mochte anfangs die Konsistenz nicht und bildete mir ein, Pickel davon bekommen zu haben...das lag jedoch an einem anderen Produkt, wie ich nach einer 2. Chance fuer Hoeney feststellen konnte...der Geruch ist irgendwie milchig säuerlich..muss man mögen..aber meine Haut ist gut durchfeuchtet und sieht besser aus...die Roetungen sind blasser geworden..und die Inhaltsstoffe überzeugen mich...sie zieht gut ein, braucht dafuer aber einen Moment...danach schminke ich mich wie gewohnt...

Meine rosácea hat sich deutlich verbessert!!! Ich gebe allerdings noch eine Feuchtigkeitscreme darüber, das ich ansonsten ein Trockenheitdgefühl verspüre.
