💗Beautiful Pink & Salon Favorite
This pink shade is absolutely gorgeous! The color is vibrant, true to tone, and leaves hair looking shiny and healthy. As a hairstylist, Arctic Fox is one of my favorite vivid color brands because it's easy to work with, smells great, and conditions the hair while depositing color. It applies evenly, blends beautifully with other shades, and fades gracefully over time. Whether you're going for a soft pastel pink or a brighter, bolder look on pre-lightened hair, this color delivers amazing results.Vegan, cruelty-free, and consistently beautiful. Definitely a 5-star product and one I'll continue to purchase! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 💗✨🎨💇♀️

My favorite hair dye. Bright and vibrant, lasts a few weeks.
I have been buying Arctic Fox hair dye for a couple of years and keep returning to it due to its reliability and long-lasting colors for a semi-permanent dye. I've had different experiences with the different colors, having tried purple rain (now discontinued), virgin pink, and sunset orange colors. I will focus this review primarily on my experience with the virgin pink variety, as it is the one I purchased from this site and the one I am including photos of, but I will briefly touch on the other colors later in this review.I absolutely love the shade of virgin pink! It is a bright, electric pink. I lightened my hair to a level 8-ish light blonde using the bleach kit by Arctic Fox beforehand (not included with dye purchase). I found this to be a suitable level to start with, as I've tried dyeing over "virgin" (unbleached) brown hair before and the color didn't show up very well, though with a lighter brown I would assume that the pink would still show up, though perhaps not as vibrantly. The pink dye did temporarily stain my sink and some skin, but I was able to completely remove it from all surfaces using acetone-based nail polish remover for solid surfaces and oil-free makeup remover for skin. I only dyed the bottom half of my just-longer-than shoulder-length hair, and I used the whole 8oz bottle of dye. My hair is also pretty thick, so even after dividing it into 4 sections and applying dye to one section at a time, I had to be careful to make sure all strands were coated with the dye. When I've dyed my hair before, I don't remember using that much dye, so it's possible that I overdid it and possible that I dyed less hair in the past, but using the whole bottle seemed to achieve the shade I wanted and evenness I wanted this time around. While my hair was dyed, my hair care routine consisted of washing my hair about 2 times per week. I am fortunate enough that I did not require more than this. I used Arctic Fox shampoo and conditioner, purchased separately. For the first few weeks, I only applied the conditioner (no shampoo) to the ends, where the dye was concentrated. With the virgin pink variety, I could visibly see the water run pink in the shower each time I washed my hair, and the color did fade over time. I had no issues with dye staining the shower. I only once had dye stain a towel, and it washed out with regular detergent and oxygen bleach (note: oxygen bleach is not the same as standard laundry bleach). The week after dyeing my hair pink I spent a substantial amount of time hiking in full sun exposure, and the color appears even more vibrant in the sun. I did have some dye bleed onto the neck of a couple of shirts due to sweat that week, but it all washed out, again using detergent and oxygen bleach. I would not count on dye washing out of fabric, and I think I was lucky in this regard, but it's worth noting that I didn't have a problem with minor amounts of dye washing out of clothes when treated quickly, and this only happened that first week of having it dyed.It lasted about 2.5 months between when I first dyed it and when it had faded back to blonde (almost) entirely. It did not fade evenly. Personally, I did not mind this, and I liked the pink/blonde look. By my rough estimates, my hair was "completely pink" for 4 weeks and "mostly pink/some blonde" between weeks 4 and 7. It faded more rapidly after that, washing out each time I washed my hair, and I decided to redye my hair a different color after 13 weeks, at which point there were still a few pink streaks but my hair was mostly back to the bleached shade.I had a similar experience with purple rain (now discontinued) in terms of vibrancy and how long it lasted. After the virgin pink I tried sunset orange color and it's far surpassed the others in terms of duration. I am going on 4 months with sunset orange and it's still even and obvious. I have maintained the same hair care routine with the orange that I did with the pink, and the only difference that I can think of is that my hair was pink during the summer and orange during the fall/winter. Unsure if the season had an effect or if the orange is just longer-lasting. Either way, I was pleased with my experience with virgin pink and would purchase again. I would recommend this brand and color.

Great dye for colors!
This dye is very vibrant and doesn't have a strong chemical smell. Lasts a good time without fading and doesn't seem to damage hair.

Amazing staying power - weeks later and still bright pink
I've heard a lot of good things about Arctic Fox so I wanted to try out their color - Let me say, I'm not a professional when it comes to fun colors - I've only used Manic Panic before - and any other color I've done has been of the more natural, boxed variety.So.. that being said - I wanted to keep my pink color - or, re-do it, more accurately. I had used Manic Panic prior and the color was all but faded, I was pretty much blonde with lovely dark roots. Well, Christmas was coming, vacation, picture time - you know the drill.. so I decided to try Arctic Fox...Beyond worth it. It smells amazing (I mean, that's not it's only claim to awesomeness but, it's important) and... I have not touched up, or re-dyed or done ANYTHING to my hair since that initial color and it's barely faded at all. There may be places I think it's faded, but I'm not sure if that's just me looking for it, or if it's legitimate. I'm still bright pink - no splotches of blonde, no weird color patterns (aside from the ones I had originally because of the remnants of the MP color and my natural roots), nothing. I'm beyond amazed.I left the dye in for 2-3 hours, so that could have factored into it's holding time but... very impressed. I originally bought the color direct from Arctic Fox, but had to buy another bottle here as their shipping time wasn't as accurate as I was expecting, but no big deal. It's the same price here with Prime as it is on their site with shipping so... no loss, and now I have an extra bottle for touch ups... if I need them (I'm not seeing the need anytime soon)I have shoulder length hair and I would estimate I used half the bottle - maybe a little more - I was pretty liberal with the application, since I didn't want to have ANY blank spots because I was being stingy with the color, you know? But anyway - the best color I've used, with the longest staying power. I'm on 4 1/2 weeks and still as bright pink as ever. (I shampoo my hair every other day and use color safe shampoo. I'd like to add that it's rare when I see the color come out in the wash - maybe the first week or two, but since then, I never notice much, if any, pink in the suds. Pretty damn impressed).

Good for kids, wouldn't buy for myself again
(TL;DR at the bottom)I bought this brand as a recommendation from a friend. Integrity-wise, it's not a bad product (which is why I'm still giving it a 4-star rating) but I would still never buy it again.I'm pretty experienced when it comes to dying my hair, especially wild colours. I usually stick to permanent dyes but my interest was piqued. I had people and reviews telling me it was unlike any other semi-permanent dye they'd ever tried - it was better looking than permanent, lasted long and vibrantly, didn't bleed as much, and was high-quality - I believe these claims were stretched. The pros and cons are my opinions based on my experience after a few weeks and geared towards others, like myself, who usually use permanent dyes and have been recommended this product:PROS:- Since it's not developer based and has conditioning qualities, you can touch it up as often as you need to- Also because of its lack of various chemicals, it's a much wetter dye and that allows you to be a bit less careful about splitting your hair because you can massage it into strands you may have missed- While I didn't do this, because it's not a developer dye you can add conditioner to adjust its hue- While it's a bit messy (like all hair dye), it didn't stain my grout (a few stray drops tinted my sink, but because it's only semi-perm, they came off after a couple days of washing my hands)- Also a perk of the semi-permanent, comes off the skin pretty quickly (For safety as well as avoiding having technicolour dalmatian spots, you should protect your skin when dying your hair - In my case, I work from home so I don't get stressed when I accidentally dye my chin or forearm. Semi-perm dyes, including this one, come off in the first washing so you don't have to worry about someone thinking you popped your kid one because you were dying their hair purple)CONS:- THE SCENT. I knew it'd be scented, but I wasn't sure what to expect because everyone seemed to have a different opinion of what it smelled like. If you have a sensitive olfactory sense as I do, I wouldn't recommend it. For me, it smelled like artificial grape (sodas, candy, children's perfumes and lipbalms) and actually made me a bit nauseous. It's strong, too. With the bottle completely sealed, it still filled my bathroom with the unpleasant aroma in the day before I opened it. After several washings, my hair STILL smells like grape. THAT BEING SAID, during the actual dying process, I dabbed a bit of vaseline under my nose and it worked pretty well at keeping it at bay.- Like all semi-permanent dyes, it CONSTANTLY bleeds. I don't wash my hair every day but after a few weeks it's STILL bleeding in the shower (I'm disappointed by this because I was informed bleeding wasn't as huge of an issue with this particular brand - Nope, IT IS.)- A pro or con depending on how you look at it: The colour was disappointing for me. When I experiment with a new dye, I don't like to adjust it too much so I can observe what it's like in its base form so I know how to adjust it in the future. I'd decided to go with pink because while I've had my hair most colours of the rainbow, I'd never done pink before. I really wanted somewhere between Barbie and hot pink. The pro is: The colour that it comes out of the bottle is the exact colour my hair ended up being (keeping in mind I used this on blonde hair). The con is: It's not pink, it's fuschia. Much more purple than it is pink. However, you can mix the base dye with conditioner and other colours to get the hue you'd prefer.- As it fades, it doesn't seem to so much be lightening as other dyes would, but streaking out altogether- Quality-wise, not much different than something like Manic Panic, which I don't have a high opinion of (but at least Manic Panic doesn't smell terrible).TL;DRUltimately, this is a fine SEMI-permanent dye and is great for kids who want a wild colour for over the summer but need it to be gone by the time school starts and folks who are newer to dying their hair (or people who are actually concerned with whether or not their hair dye is vegan - I, personally, do not care). This would also be a good choice for people with very fine hair or who have undergone chemoradiation and have not been able to dye their hair fancy colours because of the harsh chemicals in most dyes. For everyone else, despite the hype, the only thing that makes it different from any other semi-perm you could buy for $4.99 at a Rite Aid is its terrible grape scent (which is a pro or con depending on your personal opinion) and it being a vegan product. I saw some reviews from people saying they were introduced to this brand because of a salon - if I ever paid to get my hair done at a salon, I would be furious if the colourist brought this brand out in lieu of something like Ion. Experienced folks who like long-lasting bright profession colours should probably ignore this product and just stick to permanent dyes.

Beautiful!
I have purchased Arctic Fox a bajillion times, lol. I usually stick with pinks, purples, and reds to color over my salt and pepper hair. Virgin Pink is one of my essential colors, but even combined with another color in those families, it typically fades out to a baby pink or lavender.I have no idea if I am an anomaly, but I have always had great luck with Arctic Fox covering my greys. I do not bleach out my hair, and it still covers well. The only issue I have had is that the color does tend to quickly fade at my roots; before I started growing out a side shave, there was no point in dying it before the color would last a day or two. I have been using fantasy colors for 30 years (off and on), and AF works great for being pigmented, fading out nicely, and not really staining. In my experience, the staining mostly occurs if you did not get everything washed out fully. (I always miss a spot or two along my hair line.)I have used AF on bleached hair (both virgin bleached and bleached over box dye) and have never had a problem with it coming out right. If you are concerned about staining, cut your dye with some conditioner and that should help a lot. If you concerned about fading, wash your hair less and wash it under the coldest water you could stand. If it’s too intense, and you want it to fade faster, use dandruff shampoo. I’ve included pics of what my hair looked like before dying and what it looked like freshly dyed using a combo of Electric paradise and Virgin Pink.

I buy this hair dye all the time. It's vibrant, I usually dilute with conditioner and it's still quite pink. It stays in my hair for a looong time.

Beautiful colour.... BUT
I absolutely love the colour and the smell of grapes! It looks amazing! But no matter how I wash my hair after I dye it my pillow and clothes are always purple even days after having washed my hair and dried it! My pillow cover is now purple and the dye is continuously rubbing off even 3 days post colouring
