Worth the money!
I have left CMC arthritis and have recently started using a brace. I have a joint replacement scheduled (it’s only been in the US about a year). I’m 50 and have practiced medicine for over 20 years. I also am a woodworker and do a lot of chores with my hands. I purchased the Willcom first due to cost. It is an excellent brace. I was able to live my life and had almost no pain with activity, and very little at night relaxing after a busy day. After about 3 weeks it started to fall apart. I then bought the PUSH. They really do look about the same. The PUSH is night and day better. The construction is slightly different. The palm piece on the cheaper one is 2 pieces while the PUSH is one. More stability in the one piece and the cheaper one was coming apart at that seam. The other is the big one. The metal piece around the thumb base. The cheaper one is very malleable, deforms easily and has to be adjusted multiple times a day. The PUSH keeps its shape, even with posting up on that hand getting off the floor. I will probably have surgery in June. The cheaper one didn’t last a month, and I needed 3-4 out of it. Buy once, cry once. I didn’t follow my own advice.

Works great!
The brace works great. It’s comfortable. Stops the pain when wearing it and allows me to use my hand/ thumb and it’s very non intrusive. My only problem is that I keep misplacing the brace. I would like to suggest that the manufacturer make it in some bright colors for those who don’t mind the bright color if it will help them locate it. I have even considered if I could put a tracker on it but decided it would be in the way. Tried some others but they did not work as well or were uncomfortable.

Effectiveness
Excellent. Used cheap braces before. Expensive, but worth it if you are in a lot of pain, and don’t want to take pain medication daily.

CMC support! So helpful!
Fits as expected. I love how it protects my CMC joint. Comfortable except inside edge of thumb. A thin cushion which we attached to the inside edge helped that. I do like the amount of support, very helpful.

Great Brace, A game changer!
I broke my right wrist in mid 80’s & have lots of pain as it was poorly set by orthopedic doctor. I now have to get it injected every 6 months or so to relieve the pain in my CMC joint. Doctor said eventually I will need a bone removed to stop hurting but recovery is 9 months or more. He suggested this brace. It has been a game changer for me. I can use my hand without pain. Hopefully it will help me avoid surgery.

Best value in CMC braces, much better than the cheap knockoffs.
I love this brace. I’ve had several custom braces fabricated by highly skilled occupational therapists. My hand doctor recommended I try the Push Metagrip brace, for my right hand. I ordered one and also an inexpensive generic look-alike. The Push brace fit perfectly, allowed much better range of motion, and is made with superior materials and craftsmanship. There were no pinch points nor did the brace’s edges cut into my hand. The generic did cut into my hand, and the accompanying rubber sleeve - the remedy for the sharp edges - was clammy and uncomfortable. I bought this one after my first started to fray a bit, after many months of punishing use. I just had the CMC Arthroplasty surgery and am recovering. I decided to get a new Push brace for the left hand, since that hand is being overused, making up for the right hand while being out of commission.

Shoddy product
My physical therapist recommended this product, but I have found a huge flaw with it that may soon make it ineffective. The unit secures on your thumb via the use of two velcro bands glued and stitched to plastic piece your thumb goes into. These two strips pass through two very narrow openings in the plastic piece. If you allow the two bands to slip out of the two very narrow openings in the plastic piece a few times, the ends of the velcro bands become frayed and will no longer pass through the two very narrow openings in the plastic piece. This will make my unit useless. The manufacturer could have simply made the two very narrow openings in the plastic piece wider so that the velcro bands would pass through the openings with greater ease. Ok, you might say, "Well don't let the bands slip out of the openings!" If you have one of these units you will realize it's very easy for the bands to slip out of the openings. Of course, the company was cheap in making the bands much too short. Were they longer, then the likelihood of them slipping out of the openings would be far reduced. Simple solutions not obvious to the creators of this unit. When will they learn?

Comfortable and supportive.
It’s the best thumb brace I’ve used. I have bought about 10 different kinds all different brands. This is the best.
