Kikkoman Kotterin Mirin - Sweet Cooking Seasoning - 10 oz.

This is my favorite mirin that I’ve tried and I was so happy to find it on Amazon! I usually get at the Asian market! This adds the perfect sweetness to stir fry’s, dumplings and anything else you want to add it to. I cannot cook without a bottle of this in my fridge. The flavor is irreplaceable in certain dishes!

This adds great flavor to oriental cooking and I use it in other recipes as well to add a unique bright semi sweet flavor

Excellent product great for cooking

I understand that this says "Sweet" Cooking Seasoning, but it is like simple syrup. The first ingredient is Corn Syrup and the second is High Fructose Corn Syrup. This is just sugar water and the mirin flavor barely comes through. I'd rather stick with Aji Mirin, as most of the alcohol is cooking off anyway. Unfortunately, the high sugar content was not immediately apparent because the product page does not list ingredients and does not show the ingredients in a picture.

Item was as promised and made all my dishes taste a lot better when added to dish.

I do love the product. As a person who grew up using Mirin, I appreciate this produce this product that doesn’t contain alcohol and still tastes good. The only problem is that I ordered two bottles and one of them was broken in shipping and handling process. I didn’t need refund. I just wanted to replace it. After going through questions in circles and no resolution, I gave up.
