Great toner cartridges
The toner cartridges are a really great value. It took a while to transfer the first chip, since this was the first time I did this, but the next three were pretty easy. The tool that was provided to remove the HP chip was a very good and worked very effectively. For some reason I put a couple of the chips in upside down. Naturally the printer would not print and the control panel displayed ? ? ! !. I should have paid better attention to instructions, which were quite good. The chip has a “T” on it and it should be oriented upright (like T) as you would view it installed on the cartridge and placed in the printer drawer (at least that is the way it is on my HP printer). Just look at the orientation closely before it is removed. After inserting it firmly and mistakenly on the new cartridges, I was concerned about taking the chip out and turning it around as it was seated quite securely. I did not want to damage it. The part that held the chip fortunately was designed well so l could push it out from the rear. So after orienting the chips properly, and placing the cartridges back into the printer drawer, the printer ran through an initialization process and now everything was ready to go. I made some copies, and I couldn’t be more pleased. As I write this review, I have attached a copy. The copy on the left was made with the HP toner cartridges when it was new ( I had saved it). The copy on the right, although it too says original, (that’s because it is a copy) was made today with the 206X toner cartridges. I don’t know how well it can be seen, but in person, the copy color of the 206X was rich and vibrant and the text is well defined. Bottom line, not only are these cartridges a great value, they actually produce a copy that is more dense and more vibrant than the original HP cartridges. Great toner cartridges.

AWFUL - DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!
I cannot stress this enough: DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THESE REPLACEMENT CARTRIDGES! THEY ARE TOTAL GARBAGE! I am a college student, and right in the middle of printing out some notes on the skeletal system, my original HP toners decided to finally give out. No worries, I thought, I was prepared for this since I bought the 4-pack of high-yield replacement toners from True Image, AND I saved a lot of money over OEM in the process - how smart am I?? Wrong. Totally, absolutely, without a shadow of a doubt, WRONG. I knew I was going to have to do some fiddling to remove the chips from my OEM cartridges and put in the replacement cartridges. Hey, I'm handy, and I've done things like this A LOT in my lifetime, so I got this. Sure enough, I managed to get through that process just fine - except on the magenta replacement cartridge, when I went to insert the chip, it just slid right back out!! The tracks for holding it in aren't tight enough to hold the chip in securely, so imagine how careful I am to slide it back into the holder, and carefully - oh, so carefully - insert the replacement toner cartridge into the toner tray of my printer WITHOUT this teeny, tiny little chip falling out somewhere never to be seen again! Well, I manage this, I breathe a sigh of relief when I close the toner tray and then the front door of my printer, no error messages show up, and I click "print" on my next page of notes - and I want to cry. It seems these toner cartridges are a total freaking joke, except I'm not laughing. See the attached image of the printed page that these new toner cartridges gave me! CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS?? How is this remotely acceptable in ANYONE'S world?? I run my printer through several calibrating and cleaning cycles, click print again, not a single thing has improved. I do it one more time, print another page, same thing. And guess what? I'm totally beyond the 30 day return window, so I wasted around $150 on THIS crap! So back to Amazon I go to find yet another vendor or replacement toner cartridges without the ridiculous HP pricetag, and hope and pray they aren't going to rip me off the way this True Image garbage did! (True Image? Based on what, cataracts??) Do yourself a favour and RUN AWAY - run far, run fast, and don't look back. Buy something else and save yourself the time, money, and frustration of dealing with these garbage toner cartridges!

Review for TRUE IMAGE Compatible Toner Cartridges Replacement for HP 206X
I recently ordered the TRUE IMAGE Compatible Toner Cartridges for my HP Color Pro MFP M283fdw printer, and I must say, I'm thoroughly impressed. Here's why: As Expected: The product arrived exactly as described. No surprises, no missing items. Everything was in perfect condition. Top-Notch Performance: I've used other compatible cartridges in the past, but the quality of these by TRUE IMAGE is commendable. The print quality is sharp, colors are vibrant, and there's no smudging or streaking. Eco Imaging Inc.: Their service was impeccable. The order process was smooth, and the delivery was prompt. It's evident that they prioritize customer satisfaction. Value for Money: Given the performance and quality of these cartridges, they offer great value for the price. It's a cost-effective alternative to the original HP cartridges without compromising on quality. Will Buy Again: Based on my experience, I'll definitely be purchasing from Eco Imaging Inc. again. It's a relief to find a reliable supplier for printer essentials. In conclusion, if you're in two minds about trying out these compatible cartridges, I'd say go for it. They've exceeded my expectations, and I believe they'll do the same for you. Highly recommended!

Good cartridges, great price, and easy chip swap procedure (see details). Conditionally Recommended
$122 vs. $400? Not exactly. Using a color laser has always been a costly endeavor. It didn't look so bleak when you'd buy your printer because it came with a set of toner cartridges - until you realized that those cartridges were typically "starter" units. I remember a set of "normal" replacement toner cartridges for my Kyocera costing more than the printer! With the HP Color Laserjet Pro M283fdw it isn't as bad, but a full set of OEM high-yield cartridges will cost over $400. That's where the TRUE IMAGE Compatible Toner Cartridge Replacement for HP 206X 206A W2110A W2110X HP Color Laserjet Pro M255dw MFP M283fdw M283cdw M283 M255 Printer Toner (Black Cyan Yellow Magenta, 4-Pack) comes in. There's not really anything special about toner... it's magnetic pigment that needs to be uniform in size and color. The cartridge has a drum and the toner, I think - neither of which are particularly complicated. So why is the OEM cartridge $100, and the 3rd-party one $30? Fear. You see, the OEM cartridges are equipped with small chips. I think they're just a tiny bit of non-volatile memory that stores the remaining amount of toner in the cartridge. I also think the printer uses this to validate that the cartridge is the correct color, genuine HP toner, etc. 3rd party manufacturers aren't making these chips, so it's up to you to cannibalize them from your HP cartridges. Clip off a plastic guard with scissors (or a knife), and then slide out the existing chip (using the included jig+drill, if necessary). Place it into the aftermarket cartridge, and you are done. It's easy and only takes about a minute per cartridge. For what it's worth, print quality seems identical. Though there may be some color variation, I can't see it - plus, color lasers aren't really for photo-realistic printing, anyway. The catch is that this informs the printer that the cartridge is genuine, and of the proper type, but it does not clear out the usage. The bottom line is that you can print thousands of pages, but you will continually get toner low messages, and you won't have any idea of how much toner you have remaining. So, in truth your savings aren't $278... they're $278 minus how much of a hassle it is to deal with the warnings and uncertainty. You can deal with the uncertainty by having another toner set on hand, but there's nothing you can do about the nag messages. If you mind that less than you like saving a large amount of money, these cartridges are for you. Conditionally Recommended

Best affordable replacement for HP laser cartridge
I purchased this set of replacement cartridges for my new HP laserjet Pro M283 cdw printer. The printer cost me approx $400 and the original HP replacement cartridges/toner would cost me as much if not more than the cost of the printer. I was looking for an affordable alternative that will provide me with quality print. I came across these cartridges on Amazon and decided to take a chance. It turned out the very one I needed. It does not come with the chip but it includes the instructions to transfer the chip from the depleted HP toner to these toner cartridges. It includes all the tools needed and a very simple process. It took me about 2-5mins and I was able to install these new cartridges on my printer. The print quality is excellent and I cannot tell any difference between the original HP and this brand. A great value for money and really quality laser print. These have lasted me a while but will certainly buy them again once they are depleted.

Great savings, great customer service
I just purchased and installed these toner cartridges in my HP MFP M283fdw printer. Replacing the chips wasn't that difficult and well worth the savings. Overall print quality was good but I am experiencing one problem. When I print in the color mode I get 5 or 6 light yellow dash marks along the left edge of the paper. The roller on the yellow cartridge appears clean. I have printed off 15 to 20 copies in color mode hoping to clear up the problem but no luck. Any ideas? If I could clear this up I would definitely buy this product again. UPDATE 02/09/21- I reached out to the supplier regarding the yellow cartridge. They responded imediately by sending me a new cartridge to replace the defective one. I just received the new cartridge at no cost and replaced it and everything is printing great. Problem solved. Great product at less than half the price of original HP cartridges, easy to install, and very good customer service. I will definetly purchase again.

Terrible product
Product is useless. It does not work. I would not recommend this. I’m very upset because it is not working with my HP printer and I cannot return it anymore because the return window was closed

Works as well as HP cartridge that came with machine purchase
UPDATE--BLEEDING STRIPE ON ONE SIDE OF PAPER--EASY RESOLUTION. Three of the four cartridges installed without a hitch. The original magenta cartridge ran out quite a while after the other three (and AFTER turning in my review). When I got the magenta cartridge installed, I had bleeding stripes on the paper on one edge. I removed the offending cartridge, wiped the toner dust off the cartridge and reinserted it....ok, NUMEROUS times to no avail. What's that they say about doing the same thing and expecting a different result?! I went to bed fully expecting I'd have to call the vendor in the morning. I pulled out the cartridge one more time in the morning, cleaned it off, and looked it over carefully. There were screws on the end. I figured maybe they just needed tightened, so I did it, and VOILA! No more ink powder all over the place, and perfectly printed pages. Been working like a charm ever since. ORIGINAL REVIEW--I was highly anxious about this purchase because it required switching the chip from the original HP cartridge into these replacements. I am NOT a technical guru, or even an apprentice. Trust me, I know nothing! I was, however, able to exchange the chips and install the cartridges successfully (albeit with great trepidation) after watching the video on the product page and following the printed instructions that came with the replacements. I will certainly be ordering from True Image again. The cartridges work well and give clean, crisp, beautifully colored copies. The only drawback I can see is that the toner amounts don't seem to register so you need to just look at the quality of your copies to know when you need to replace them. If there is a way to get this to register, I would love to hear about it. All in all, great purchase and I would recommend the product.

DOES NOT WORK
Does not work. The process of transferring the chip to the new cartridge does not work. Spent 220 CAD for nothing. This was my emergency replacement cartridge and it was outside the return window (30 days) by the time I found out that it is useless garbage. Seller's response very disappointing, Amazon does not feel responsible. Rather make a donation to the food bank than to these businesses.

NOT COMPATIBLE WITH HP color laser jet M283fdw
When I bought the printer, underneath was replacement toner for your printer. The black cartridge was HP the colours were not. I assumed that if Amazon recommended them, they must be good. THEY ARE NOT. THEY WILL NOT WORK. I AM OUT HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS BECAUSE I BOUGHT THEM WHEN I BOUGHT THE PRINTER AND TOO MUCH TIME HAS PASSED

For spending $309.00 and it requires work to intricately remove the chip from old cartridge to the new and it needs to be fitted. At the end it didn’t even end working… lost $309 Horrible, horrible, horrible
