I am extremely happy with the Contigo Byron 2.0 travel mug. The 20-ounce size is perfect for coffee, tea, or any other drink, and the stainless steel construction feels durable and high quality. I not only teach, but I am also in grad school and have a considerable commute to campus when necessary. That said, I purchased this because I needed a travel mug that could go in my backpack without leaking. This one does the trick. It has a really nifty sealing top. I've read some reviews saying it's difficult to use with one hand. I have older, not-so-strong hands, and I found that popping it open was pretty easy, but if you are traveling, you don't need to close the top every time you take a drink because it won't spill through the drinking hole anyway. And it really keeps your drink warm or cold. And, I can seal it and pop it in my backpack to haul to class without any spillage. Quite nice, well worth the buy if you need something truly leakproof. One small drawback - it doesn't take to banging around too much. I did drop it from my desk one day, and it got a pretty good dent in it - a little more and it would not have stood up anymore. So, if you are looking for rugged, this is not it, but for everything else it works a treat.

I get tired of writing detailed reviews because I buy so much from Amazon. I usually just give "Star" ratings now. I'm updating this with details because I'm so impressed with Contigo as a company. So here goes! 4 years ago, I bought 2 of the Contigo Kenton travel mugs. I’ve never had better mugs. Earlier this year, I needed new stoppers and gasket seals for the lids. Other than that, they are just as functional as the day I got them. I couldn't find and still haven't found gasket seals for the Kenton model that actually fit the lids. Even though they look exactly like the Byron lid, the gasket doesn't fit. I looked everywhere with NO luck. So I looked for a replacement lid. Couldn't find that either. I was mad! I'm a spend thrift. I keep things, take care of them and keep using them until there is absolutely no more useful life. These are not cheap mugs! I didn't want to buy a whole new mug just because the old ones need new gaskets. A good mug that DOES NOT LEAK is something that makes my life A LOT EASIER. I was mad about the gasket issue so I looked for another brand that would meet the same high standards as Contigo. I read reviews until my eyes were red and watering. I didn't want to buy another mug if I couldn't replace something as simple as a replacement gasket. I came across this one on sale for a good price. I knew it would be good at least until the gasket needed to be replaced. I love the color. With gritted teeth, I placed my order. I can throw these mugs across the room and none of my coffee would be spilled. I mean that. I tried it! A couple of months later, the gasket broke. I wasn't happy about that, but I had all those gaskets that wouldn't fit my old lids. They worked fine. Two months ago (7 months after buying), the flip part of the lid wouldn't stay closed. A lot of work was destroyed by the coffee that flooded out of the mug. At first I thought I just forgot to snap it closed. Not so. The snap on this lid is not as secure as the other ones. Out of sheer stubbornness, I was determined to either MAKE the gaskets fit my old lids or find something that would. Try as I might they just wouldn’t fit. In exasperation, I called Conitigo. Maybe they could tell me where I could find gaskets. That was my only reason for calling them. In my conversation, I mentioned the problems with the Byron mug I bought 9 months ago. I assumed it was too late to ask for a refund from Amazon. She told me that Contigo has a 5 year warranty on their mugs. After asking me for the manufacturers’ ID on the bottom of the mug, she told me they would send a brand new mug in 5 days. Not just a lid, an entire mug! But it gets better. They are also sending replacements for my old Kenton travel mugs. The ONLY thing I had to do was send one picture of all three mugs side by side. They are sending me 2 entirely new mugs because the gaskets need replacing??? No questions, nothing. 2 brand new mugs. Within a week, I’ll have 3 brand new Contigo travel mugs. I'm blown away. I have to say it again. I am totally blown away. As long as their standard of customer care and product quality remains the same, I will never ever buy a travel mug from any other company.

I am impressed with this travel mug for how long it keeps beverages cold or hot, literally 12 or more hours! I will make a drink with ice the afternoon before and there’s still ice in it in the morning. The first time I put hot water in it I realized it wasn’t going to cool down enough to drink so I had to add cold water. Now I make sure my hot beverages are at ideal temperature for drinking. It truly is leak proof. I can lay it on its side with hot or cold liquids in it and it will not leak. The only downside to this mug is the spout for drinking is very tiny and it just trickles into my mouth. For a good drink, I have to remove the cover. Another comment I have is the grip area of the mug is too high. If it was down an inch or so, it would be better. Overall, the quality is great, it is portable, it is easy to use, easy to clean, the lid is functional and I love the color!

I've been using the 20oz Snapseal mugs for, well, close to a decade now. Bought my first one in January of 2017. And I haven't used another travel mug since. They keep cold things cold, and hot things at the temperature of lava almost indefinitely. They're surprisingly lightweight compared to plastic mugs, thanks to the vacuum insulation. But not so light as to be unstable. They have the feel of quality, and my experience proves they very much are. The rubber grip is very comfortable and holds up very well over a period of years. They might not fit under most Keurigs, but frankly, neither do other 20oz mugs! My first mug lasted 6 years, until I drove off with it on my bumper and it fell off at about 20MPH onto concrete. Whoops. But that's the minimum it takes to even think about damaging the body. You may scratch them up, but they will stand up to more abuse than you would ever think possible. Of course, I replaced it with exactly the same. But this is where the caveat comes in. Both of those mugs suffered multiple falls with no problems, just scrapes. You can probably throw them through walls with no ill effects. Until they land lid first. Making the lid comfortable - and it's VERY comfortable - means using fairly soft plastic. Which is easily gouged and scraped, and even splits sometimes. Both of the replacement mugs are as straight as the day they left the factory, but the lids have gouges right in the drinking area that make them basically unusable, and one split so it isn't fully tight. That's the caveat. The mug outlasts the lid. None of them leak, but they cut up your lip if you try to drink from them. I really, really wish Contigo would sell the lid separately and I honestly don't understand why they don't. Drops and accidents aren't covered by warranty of course! And they shouldn't be! But it's really disappointing to have to buy an entire mug when all I actually need is a new lid.

Keeps my coffee hot for 2 hours and warm for another 2. Total win for me. Love the color, no leaks.

Our last set of Contigo travel mugs were taken on every single hike, every road trip, around the world, and used almost every day for the better part of 15 years! These aren't exactly like our old ones, but we love them already. They keep coffee hot and cold drinks cold for hours on end - and they look great, too. The straight sides allow them to fit into our car's cupholders better than our old curvy ones. Definitely worth the money!

Not great. Doesn't keep coffee hot. Also don't like the snap lid - it's pretty loud. Probably my only disappointing Prime Day purchase.

These are my 3rd and 4th contigo travel mugs. The first one I left at a road side stop accidentally. The second one I dropped one too many times, I guess, and it no longer held the heat. But I got many years out of both of those. These mugs work almost too well. If you put very hot liquids in there, you might need to leave the cap off for a bit just to be able to drink it. They definitely hold the heat in for many hours. The shape is perfect to fit in every cup colder. They are absolutely leak proof.

Su tapa SnapeSeal es perfecta para cuando vas manejando por que para abrirlo solo necesitas una sola mano. Además la metí para transportarla a mi bolso y no derramó ni una gota. Desde hace tiempo quería un termo en el que mi bebida perdurara caliente por varias horas, los que tengo a las 3 horas mi bebida ya esta fría, a diferencia de la taza de viaje Contigo dura 8 horas caliente por su doble pared. Es genial para estos días de frío. Me encantó porque puedo transportar mi bebida de una forma fácil, cómoda y segura. Y no pesa tanto como imagine.
