Until now I relied on getting fabric from Joann's but they only allow minimum quantities of 2 yards, which is..... a lot of masks in one type. And I sew by hand so I don't have the energy to bulk make them for donations. :(These feel slightly thicker than the ones I have from Joann's, but more variety! :)At first I worried that these weren't breathable but after doing some further research, this is TWILL cotton, which is one of the IDEAL fabrics for masks (as some medical centers suggest) in the same category as denim + duck canvas. They don't have any kind of funny smell or out of the ordinary for mailed cotton, they're not particularly soft but just average linen soft?

I expected better material. The size was fine for different types of masks. However after washing I had to steam iron the fabric because it wrinkled so much, which will be concerning after they are washed again after they are masks. This means they will have to iron the mask to return it to its shape. Then I noticed in all but one piece there is a permanent crease that shows like a light straight line after ironing. That was very disappointing as it means that the material has been stored in that form for a long time. Ok for masks, but won't purchase material on line again. Had to do it to stay safe until covid is under control. Thank you!

I blame myself for not converting the cm to inches before purchasing. Precut fabric like this is almost always cut into "fat quarters" meaning a yard of standard width fabric cut into quarters making it 18x22 inches. This fabric is MUCH SMALLER. This fabric 15.5x19.5 inches or 75% of what I thought I was getting. I'm very disappointed that I do not have enough fabric to do what I had planned. I guess it will go to my scrap heap for some later project.The package arrived quicker than others that I have ordered from overseas so that was a plus. Came with some free soft elastic if I wanted to make face masks so that was a thoughtful touch.

I like the fabric pieces very much, only down side was the shipping time (from China.) If you are avoiding stores and don't need fabric quickly, this is a good option for mask material.
