What sets the Fijihide blade apart (from the other model @ $55)? How long will the blade remain sharpen enough?

Thank you for your inquiry. The difference is the blade's grade from the other model. This blade is higher grade so, it can be shaved easier than the other one. Regarding, second question, sharpen will last about 1-2 year. It depends on frequency in use. You can sharpen the blade using artificial whetstone when the blade is not enough to shave.

Can replacement blades be purchases or can blades be removed for sharpening?

If they sell replacement blades it would be easy to replace and it would also be easy to sharpen.

Does this come with English instructions on how to properly use it?
