Upgraded Sam-Sung Dryer Repair Kit for DC97-16782A Samsung Dryer Roller Replacement Kit, DC93-00634A Dryer Idler Pulley, 6602-001655 Dryer Belt, Replacement for Samsung Dryer Parts (Figures 6 and 7)

I am a DIY person. I watched a couple different videos on disassembling our Samsung dryer. This wasn't a quick process but if I had to do it again, It would go 4 times faster knowing what I know now. The idler pulley and the belt work perfectly so it was awesome to have them fit precisely. I ended up not switching out the roller wheels as it was getting late into the evening and I just wanted to put it all back together and it may or may not have been simple, lol. Putting the belt on is a challenge !! It's a snug fit to be sure but the space to work in is NOT convenient ! We do foster care so with 6 kids in the house, there is a TON of laundry. I don't know how my wife does it ! Anyhow, the Repair Kit is fantastic and if needed again, I will definitely use this same seller ! (IF there is a next time... I'll leave more time to install the 4 roller wheels. Kudos to me for trying this method and having 100% success thanks to this seller and this product. ~Dan

When I started, the only problem was a worn-out belt. I ordered a new belt. It was tough to install, and maxed out the idler travel, in addition to playing about an E# when plucked. But, the reviews noted several instances where people struggled with tightness, and eventually decided it worked; so, I went ahead and ran it. It sounded a bit funny, and smelled of burned rubber a little, but I assured my wife it would break in. That's why there's an idler to take up slack, right? When both the noise and the smell became undeniably wrong, I opened it back up. The belt was of AMAZING quality: It sawed through the plastic idler pulley all the way to the shaft, and left a pile of rubber ash like you'd find on turn 3 at Daytona under the drive pulley, but was still intact. So, now needing an idler AND a belt, I went for this kit. Amazon had a warehouse deal on it, and I had that shipped. Someone at Amazon didn't inspect what got returned very well, and I got a box with half the parts missing, and half of what I DID get was used stuff. Not the seller's fault - this is on Amazon warehouse deals. As soon as I initiated the return, the seller (ALEW Direct) was all over it. They immediately told me they were shipping a new kit directly to me, at no charge. I asked about the belt length thing (the used belt in the warehouse kit was the same length as my scorched replacement and the original broken one), and ALEW Direct said to check the one they were shipping. When the new kit arrived, the belt included had the same part number, but was almost two inches longer than any of the ones I had collected. Since the numbers are the same, I don't know exactly how to order the right one. But if you find that it's a real birch to install yours, and the idler is on the stops when you succeed, then save yourself the effort and specifically request the long version. It was easy to install, even from the front of the machine, and works perfectly. The upgraded idler has ball bearings instead of relying on a bushing like the OE design. My only concern there was that the inner races were spinning on the shaft, so I added a couple drops of Loc-Tite 620 bearing retainer, and solved that. (ON the bearings, not IN them!) ALEW Direct was very proactive, shipped quickly, answered my questions, and couldn't have done better.

At first my dryer had gotten pretty noisy. I didn’t really care so much as we usually shut the door to the laundry room and it wasn’t horribly loud - just a little bit louder than it had been when the dryer was newer. I never really thought much about it. Then recently my wife said it made a really horrible loud noise and I took a look inside. Lo and behold - one of the wheels in the internal assembly the dryer had seized up so badly that the wheel hub had locked up and the plastics forming the spokes had completely snapped and contorted. Seems that lint/dust/grime/hair builds up in there over the years and will cause the wheels to stop properly turning the drum and the wheel hubs stop turning properly. So the rubber wheels don’t seem to get badly worn out (these were original from a 2013 era unit) but those hubs certainly take a beating and you might need to consider this as a preventative maintenance item every few years. At any rate, this dryer is not only far less noisy, seems as good as new. Everything about the dryer now works better. I also replaced the heating element and fuses/thermostats in the unit over the last few years. Less than $100 in parts so far invested over the last 5 years! Don’t buy a new one if you don’t have to. I also used the replacement tension belt for the drum and new pulley assembly that came with this kit and those too needed replaced due to age of parts. This kit was a great value. Highly recommended. Tip: Watch a YouTube video on the tension belt and pulley assembly when putting the drum back in place. It might seem pretty straightforward to just put the belt back on the drum, attach to pulley and motor hub, but there’s a technique to looping the belt under the pulley before connecting to the motor hub you must perform somewhat blindly with the drum in place with the tension belt connected. Otherwise, if you don’t do that and just wrap the belt over the pulley and attempt to connect to the hub on the motor, the belt won’t have the correct tension and won’t turn the drum. Makes sense when you do it the right way, as you must stretch the pulley assembly’s spring (new spring comes in this kit) by raising it up as you loop the belt under when you connect back to the motor hub. Once you’ve done all of this and do it correctly, everything should work as normal, and again - should be as good as new. Highly recommend this kit as a preventative measure if you notice your dryer getting noisy. I had burned up a couple fuses/thermostats over the last couple years and now suspect it was in part to the drum not turning properly, causing strain on the whole system.

Kit seems to be well made and fit very well. All parts appeared to be identical to the factory specifications in size, shape and material. Install was straight forward with minimal tools. Only slight issue was the lack of space and ability to see when placing belt on motor and tensioner, but that issue is due to Samsungs design, not the parts. Only been 2 days and no issues as dryer is working properly.

This kit has everything. We didnt need all the parts, but it was a great price for the kit.

Great repair kit. This kit includes everything to make your Samsung dryer like new. We didnt need all these parts so they're boxed up if needed in the future. But the price of this kit made getting all possible repair items needed a better value to purchase this kit. Good quality parts at an affordable price to make our dryer work properly again. Would definitely recommend
