It's a trip!
“It’s a trip!”Julie Mulhern’s latest, Fields’ Guide to Dirty Money, Book 6 of the series, couldn’t have come at a better time for this old gal for whom the most exciting thing in her average week during the Pandemic is going to the grocery store. The cover shows Poppy as the slightly vacuous party girl in a very pretty dress and her deceptively sweet-looking Chihuahua, and promises me that once inside the book I’ll escape to some warm exotic place with a beach and palm trees that I’ll never get to visit in real life. The first page of Juliet Mulhern's Fields' Guide to Dirty Money invites me into a very upscale restaurant that likewise I’ll never get to go to. The next few pages present Poppy’s purpose – to find a location for her famous actress mother’s wedding shower that her very picky mom will find satisfactory. Well, that doesn’t happen since soon the place is trashed, a man is dead, a killer is after Poppy, and I’m one happy reader knowing that I have a couple of hundred pages of action, adventure and romance with a Thor-lookalike ahead.

Love, love, love I am really enjoying this series.
I really enjoyed this book. It was a great addition to the series. Mark and Poppy ate getting closer and closer. I like the slow burn. Glad Viktor was portrayed as a better guy in this book, since he slapped Poppy in Paris. For professionals, Mark and Jake sure get shot or have cover blown a LOT. Poppy is part lucky, part skill. As usual, there are multiple bad guys after Poppy.Chariss is getting married and is bridezilla extraordinaire.Poppy flies to the Caymans to assist with planning. She finds trouble almost immediately. Poor Mark. I just love Yurgi. I love how fun these books are, even when murder and mayhem ensue. I have flown through this series. On to book 7.The book is told from the FMC's POV. No cliffhanger. Each book can be a stand alone, but better as far as character development if read an order.

Another enjoyable Poppy fields adventure. Lots of action, humor and romance.
Another enjoyable Poppy fields adventure. Lots of action, humor and romance. The growth of Poppy over the course of the books has been fun. All of the characters got some additional fleshing out in the book. Who knew Mr. Brown had a sense of humor...The only thing that detracted from the story was a higher than usual number of typos. Hopefully, that will get worked out before the next book.

Continuous action for high maintenance Poppy
Things just get wilder and wilder for Poppy. There are snarky British spies, assassins, femme fatales, drug lords bent on revenge, murders, explosions, a wedding, some mother-daughter bonding, lots of fashion snobbery, Poppy's current main squeeze Thor, and disgraced old boyfriend Jake. The action is so non-stop one can hardly catch their breath, and Poppy gets shot at, almost kidnapped, shot at, etc, etc, then kills a guy and shoots another before deciding to run off to an isolated island with Thor for the next book. Great book, Mulhern just keeps them coming.

Poppy Fields - a fashion, excitement, and romance must read!
Poppy Field's fans will not be disappointed by Dirty Money. The relationships among the characters continue to grow in a believable way. The plot is action-packed from the get go. The dialogue is sprinkled with humor and just enough romance to make us look forward to the next time Poppy and Thor meet. Her mom, best friends, dog and moms boyfriend all add to enrich the storyline. It takes your mind off the pandemic for a bit.

Dirty Money and Definite Danger
Julie Mulhern has a definite winner with “Fields’ Guide to Dirty Money”. After racing through Egypt, Poppy is off to the island of Grand Cayman for a wedding. Her mother Chariss has become the classic bridezilla as she prepares to marry her Russian oligarch, Yurgi Prokorhov, one of the world’s 10 richest men. Poppy soon finds more than Chariss’ wedding tantrums to deal with as she goes from murders to attacks to kidnappings. At least this time she again has Mark Stone, her yummy Chris Hemsworth/Thor look-alike, by her side. But she also has to juggle that with her ex-lover, Jake, and a host of characters old and new. If you are looking for a fast paced action packed story filled with intriguing characters, both good and bad, this is the book for you. The Poppy Fields books certainly have me hooked.

Ahhhhhh!
I love this series. They are fun to read. Poppy is spunky, smart sassy With martial art.skills and the luck of the draw on her side. Thor is a perfect match and treats her like we all want to be treated. I pick up these books when I want to relax and get away from it all for a while. Look forward to the next book!

How does a wedding turn into money laundering and murder
Poppy Fields leaves Egypt and heads to the Grand Cayman's for the wedding of her mother Chariss Carlton to Russian Yurgi Prokorhov. This couldn't just be a relaxing time, of helping her Mom, spending time on the beach with Thor (Mark Stone); of course not, there is money laundering a murder, an assassin and Chariss acting like Bridezillo and Mr. Brown showing up...what more do you want? Once again Ms. Mulhern brings Poppy to life for her readers and leaves us asking for more. But please first a vacation for Poppy and Thor, with a little adventure.

Can Poppy and Thor ever get a break?
Another great book by Julie Mulhern and a welcome addition to the Poppy Fields series. In the Caribbean, on an idyllic island, Poppy should have been able to apply herself wholeheartedly to the forthcoming nuptials of her mother, Chariss, and Russian billionaire, Yurgi. But, as always, when Poppy is around, unintentional (fatal) mayhem follows. This time it is international money-launderers that threaten to upset the apple cart. And if that were not enough – add in a super-assassin and Poppy’s nemesis, Diaz of the Sinaloan drug cartel.Poppy needs everything to be perfect for Chariss – never the most forgiving of divas:“And Chariss, who’d embraced the bridezilla concept with both arms wide open, would explode as if I’d set out to sabotage her dream wedding.”She is soon juggling so many potentially dangerous, wedding-ruining balls that she, and her friends/colleagues have no time to think. Then the wedding planner goes missing: “Chariss would go Godzilla-stomps-Tokyo ballistic. Her head would spin like Linda Blair’s. She’d be less reasonable than Margot-Robbie-as-Harley-Quinn-with-a-baseball-bat.”Poppy does have two top allies to help her: “Thor (real name Mark Stone, but he looked like so much like Chris Hemsworth I’d renamed him in my head). He was drool-worthy. He was smart. He was tough. And he had dead-eye aim with a Glock. The perfect partner. The perfect man.”and Consuela, the ‘talkative’ (she gets as much dialogue as Thor) silky-haired wonder-dog:“She wasn’t above attacking a stranger, and while she might look cute, in her heart she was a killer Chihuahua.”“I would have liked to add that she never made unprovoked attacks, but Consuela was more of a bite first, ask questions later dog.”Miraculously, the wedding does go ahead. The party is stuffed with Russian oligarchs, Hollywood’s finest, Poppy’s friends - and Jimmy Buffett. But, Poppy cannot let her guard down for a moment: “We were too exposed, and Minty, who was married and nearly twice his age, was staring at Thor as if he were a popsicle she couldn’t wait to lick. According to Chariss, Minty was a popsicle-licking expert.”Will Poppy ever get Thor alone, without a major international incident waiting to explode?Poppy and Thor’s relationship is gradually blooming, my respect for Yurgi is growing, Consuela – despite her diminutive size – is proving more useful than a loaded pistol, and Chariss is looking more like a real human. I loved this book, and recommend the whole series unreservedly.
