This is my first time using a face wash, do I need to apply lotion on my face after using this?

You don't have to. Its purely a matter of wanting to. A wash and a lotion will serve different purposes.

Curious what does the size 5.0oz X3 means? does that mean i will get a 15oz bottle instead of a 5 oz. That's the size I ordered so just curious thanks

can you use this as an Exfoliating?

I would say no. This is just a plain wash they do offer a exfoliating scrub that I've used before that even has exfoliating beads in it to help open up pores. This is just a straight gel like face wash.
